Just curious if anyone has ever tried this combo before. Obviously would lose the reapers wraps so would have to pick up blood vengence. Just curious if anyone has ever used it and opinions on it.
I would like to see a reference from HashFTW, but I used to use this combo quite effectively on my Demonhunter before 2.1.2. After that I am not sure if it is still effective. I would say test it out yourself and see.

Not really sure what you're talking about, considering with a WF I can reliably knock back elites time after time, with just spamming something like ES.
As someone who has a fantastic Windforce and done extensive testing on this build, I can attest that at least in M6, this build is not viable. Primarily the reason for that is that the knockback will disrupt group play, as locked elites can use their affixes once knocked back, even if they are feared at the time. In addition, even for solo play, you lose Reapers Wraps, a key generator of resource and one of the primary reasons you can output so many spenders so quickly. With a good pair of Reapers Wraps, you can gain up to 45 hatred, or around two cluster arrows in a single globe. More multishots than that if that's your spender.
So while it does work, and you can do 20% more damage, the loss of resource cost and the lack of team viability (where strongarms do the most work) make the build unfortunately useless.

I have a 30% strongarm, and an almost perfect WF with close to max kbc. I tried to make it work, I really wanted it to work "as it sounds", but sry, it simply doesn't. The proc rate is too dissapointing, 50-60% kbc should knocback targets every 2-3 shots but it's nowhere near. Maybe in 2.2 with new set and MS knockback and high AS the things might change, I will try it in PTR if I have time and let you know if I notice something different than current situation.

Last time I played around the combo was during previous PTR (obviously with joy of ancient item availabilty), tried all the common spenders; chakram, EA, CA, MS. I even tried pairing WF+Strongarm with an Ess of Johan, which was when I realized that I could not have multi knocbacks from several sources and when one procced the other one would not for a specific duration and vice versa..
