I decided to have a look around the barb skill calc for some fun builds and came up with the throw barb, really interested in trying out this "ranged" type barb
as a throw barb you either need to be completely ranged or a hybrid. yours is neither and therefor wont work. you dont have enough survivability to melee mobs in higher difficulties with frenzy and you dont have the right skills/passives to be strictly ranged. so what exactly are you trying to accomplish?

Hey! stop that. there is no "WRONG" build, he can do whatever he wants and it might work out better then your ideas!
as an example, i value cleave allot more then frenzy, but thats because you and me play differently.
i got the idea that you belive your build (GladHeHasBeta) to be the baws, but that MIGHT not be true!

huh? get real dude. this is theorycrafting and in theorycrafting there ARE wrong and right ways to do things. not everything, but a lot of things. and his defense SUCKS big time for having to melee alot. and he WILL die easily and this definitely without a doubt wont work.

actually no. anyone could prove this wont work very easily. why does the barb have SO many defensive passives/skills? because being in inferno is going to be hard (wow thats hard to grasp isnt it?). mobs will hit so hard that without any extra defense he will most likely be ONE shotted in inferno, not quickly die but actually die in one shot. the barb would NOT have so many defensive moves if there wasnt a need for at LEAST some of them to survive the hardest difficulty in the game.

Only way to make a throw barb is by either stacking crit or using the relentless passive pretty much, because you don't have any good ranged fury generators.
You can substitute abilities that help you survive more, because you won't live through much with these two builds, but they have all the abilities you would use.
And you could go with the Scoundrel assuming you don't need the Templar to tank for you.
lmao, love this guy. "Actually", you should back tf off. None of us have even played the game yet. Calm down.
love u too man. <3. the "none of us have played yet so you cant know" argument is pretty fail when were talking about THEORYcrafting. emphasis on the caps bro. as in theoretical. as in everything on the forums about builds, later gear, end-game. DOH. you should go spam that sentence on 90% of the threads on this site because everyone obviously needs to stfu about this speculation and theory BS

Speculation is fine. Insisting that someone is wrong when you're talking directly out of your butt crack, however, is not.
theoretically his build wont work. end of story. no ass talking cept u bro which u seem to want to include yourself in the convo just to be an annoying troll. so ill let you. while you give absolutely nothing to back up anything you are saying. this is a theoretical build, so give some theoretical views on how im wrong and ill gladly debate you into oblivion.

1. Gather them up and stun with leap+stomp
2. WW everything in safety
3. Charge away and throw
Long + Short range damage, 70% elemental resistance, huge life regen, plenty of escapes, huge mobility
wow. EPIC fail city. you have not 1 not 2 not 3 but 6 sepparate effects increasing your defense. while the OP (which is who we've been talking about) has ZERO. try again buddy. im still right, his build still wont work without any defense or more abilities to help stay ranged.

I have to say that while I understand that your so called "theorycrafting" rules out my build because i'm defenceless, but in theory it simply isn't true.
Why do I NEED to stack defence skills? why can I not achieve this + Crit from gear? Why can't I rely on the other 3 players to have defensive builds to counter my all out offensive?
Blizzard designed the game this way, to allow me to use this build and it to be entirely viable either based on others countering me or by gear bringing up my shortfall. they have been preaching to everyone this is the case, when comment such as your's come along, this whole pigeon holing everyone into 2 or 3 static builds with very slight variants for "uniqueness". Just because the Barb has alot of defensive skills does not mean you need to take them. A perfect example is the wizard you have the option of going balls to the wall glass cannon and i'm sure you wouldn't go into someones thread who posted a glass cannon build and spam "lolollol u take no defence skills n00b wont work".
so in THEORY i'd say anything works, not what you claim that, if there are defensive skills clearly the class needs to take them.
Oh and No I'm not saying that this particular build will work within the game but i'm guessing it wouldn't fail into the ground as hard as you make it out it would. This was more a build with a theme then anything else might not be the most dps, survivable build, might be fricken hopless but its a theme and it looks fun.
oh and thank you to everyones input/ criticisim / discussions and "theory crafting"
Well, you'll have to stack a lot of defense on items, probably using a shield and maybe a monk fellow player with defensive mantra. That could be easily accomplished with a more balanced build, that could make you able to use a 2h weapon and hit for a lot more, but that's your choice.
^this.
basically if your not using some key skills or passives for a particular build type (in this case the throw barb) you'll have to gimp yourself significantly in another area to get that. and when i make a build or comment on a build im talking about with inferno in mind, "can your build theoretically do well in inferno?" and if that answer seems to point to no then its time to change it. tweaking and evolving your build based on others input is the whole point of posting a build on these threads. i started out just asking the question of what you wanted to accomplish so i could help you get to where YOU wanted to be with your build. thats all.

My main question to that is, what are we basing the "Won't work in Inferno" theory off? if we have no idea as to what to expect how do we prepare for that now? All we have is Blizzard saying that you will die if you don't play "smart". Smart build or just smart gameplay are 2 different things.

we know inferno monsters are fast, more intelligent and hit like trucks. for sure. they said you will die, even if you play smart, you will for sure die unless your some insane veteran which is impossible since no one has played. so your build has no defense to protect against those things your going to for sure die, and often. thats what you should base every build on unless your specifically making it for leveling

well i think u should consider to have 1 or 2 skills which knock mobs back so u won't be overwhelmed...cuz as a throw barb u need to keep ur distance.
u can use :
-wrath of the breserker with arreat's wail rune
-seismic slam with shattered ground rune
-ground stamp with avalanche rune
-revenge with grudge rune
-ignore pain with bravado rune
just my opinion - tho do what ever u think u will enjoy best

They also said it WILL soloable and clearly it has to be "Hardcore viable", so I think that there has to be a stage where you don't have Inferno up there as this near impossible setting that requires you to build a certain way.

With a little tweeking of these builds I think all would preform better than your current build.
Simple truth: if you plan to make a gimmicky build (unorthodox) than you really need all your skills and passive to work well together
