Watched your most recent video there and I have to disagree with something. You say damage is not important if you never die. While that's true, that also means you won't make it through inferno. I know the title says hell, and im gonna get flak "omg we're not you blah blah blah not everyones on inferno blah blah blah" and honestly that's dumb, of COURSE you're gonna go on to inferno. The ENTIRE game is based arond pushing the hardest stuff to get the best loot. This works great through hell (I used a build very similar), but as soon as you try to do this to a blue/yellow group or a boss in inferno you're gonna get instant killed. Blue/yellow mobs heal themselves over time so if you're planning on running in circles kiting and hitting them once or twice then running til w/e special they have is over, you're gonna take a very very long time to kill anything. And tbh, you probably won't beat bosses enrage timers either. In the vid you said you beat them but no, you haven't, because there are no enrage timers in Hell. They come into play in Inferno. You may beat most of first act maybe, but at only 3k dps (using your vid damage as an example) you might not even make it past the butcher.
I 100% agree. But keep in mind im about .40 attack speed over what I actually need to spam my mantra. So I can always trade that in for more dps. just looking through the AH and replacing my .40 extra attack speed would next me roughly 2.5k-4k more damage, putting around 10k ISH. Also add 15% more damage to any of that since I use that rune with my heal.
Hello, I find this quite interesting, however I dont really see the benefit of this since bosses arent the real problem in diablo, I'd totally be farming/buying/using attack speed if that coul help on elite mobs but as far as I know, we just have to kite, no matter what build are we using. Im in hell act4 using regular build and again, bosses are no problem, elites are painful.

So let me get this straight: you stack atack speed% and life per hit (not life steal) and try to get some spell resist. Then you enable SW and span FoT to generate spirit to be able to use your defensive abilities, right?
I'm doing exactly this ATM and, as you said, I only have problems with some nasty elite groups, bosses are a breeze.
I wonder if Way of the Hundred Fists wouldn't generate more spirt than FoT. It seems to hit way faster, and does more AoE damage. I tried it myself but couldn't get to a decision... they seem to generate spirit at almost the same rate for me.

Yea and so they are with any regular build, I'm running with 23k hp no speed attack or different stats other than dex and some vit and bosses in hell are no problem, elite mobs are hard but killable as well. If you could tell me that you can stand there (when able) and tank elites without moving i'll totally use this otherwise I don't see a point stacking a different stat if we are going to kite and wait for CDs anyway.
*Question* For mantra of healing Is boon of protection better then Time of need? Passive 20% dmg reduction or on use 15% shield. Am I wrong to think Time of need is better?
No, its not 20% direct reduction its 20% more stats to your current resistance stats. example. ok so you have 85 resistance to cold, that equals 22.5% reduction. change the rune to add 20% to that would give you 21 more cold resistance, which is only about (quick math) 4%-5% more reduction, boon does 15%, hope that was better explained.

Build and gear/stats needed for full hell clear are in the *build/stats video. Atm gearing up for inferno im sitting at 50k hp, 7k dps, 40% reduction from elemental damage, 30% dodge, 50% reduction from armor, 2.15AS and 700 Life per hit. Iv been really busy the past day and havnt had much time to play, but this current setup with my trademark build has been killing elite mobs very easy without the need to kite on Inferno act1. We shall see how it goes through the acts

To everyone who thinks otherwise either get better gear or l2p. Since the start of this post on normal mode iv heard nothing but "this wont work on nightmare, this wont work on hell, this wont work on elite mobs" and all were prooved wrong. Trust me if the build stop working at some point, il let you know.

I'm using a Macro to execute the 3 gen combo, combi strike boosts my dps from 2.3k all the way up to 3k and when crits stack up blazzing fists 3 times (usually about 2 seconds into the fight) it goes up to 3.2k, keep blade storm stacked 3 times quickly thanks to crits as well and use serenity to fend off any CC attacks. Constantly spamming Boon of Protection while doing the 3 gen combo. I'm trying really hard to make this viable late into the game so far it has been a VERY fun playstyle. Now that I got to Hell gear got really expensive on the AH so I gotta farm and build up a bit before going further. Honestly no I think that build will slow you down and get you killed, even on boss mobs. You can do without blinding flash but even then it helps a lot. There is absolutely no need for that many spirt gens on 1 build.
Yeah, sorry dude, but they're fixing Boon of prot. Apparently it was waaaaaay more OP than they intended. What are your plans now? (Im not a hater, ive been really impressed by your build/vids.) Will them nerfing BoP to the ground break your build?

To everyone who thinks the build wont work without boon of protection is dead wrong. I allready new about this change and have been testing alternative methods. Dont worry the build still work, you just use a different rune, can you guess which one? Even with the hotfix changed its still viable with boon of protection. Or just take sustenance or time of need and change stats around accordingly.

Its going to make things less simple thats forsure. If they do as that post says and boon of protection stays in the game still from what I can see it still absorbs 3600 hp, thats not bad. So A get more attack speed (and maybe change a rune) to gen more spirit to spam the mantra 2x as much. Or B take the increased hp regen rune and stack more resists and and life per hit. I will make a video once the hotfix in applied detailing any needed changes. Wont leave my fellow monks hanging.
hell is easy , and act 1 inferno is not that hard , from act 2 inferno is where things change and you get 2 shoted..... im stuck in act 2 inferno, and i cant walk without being killed every 2 minutes....
Not a issue atm for me, sounds like your under geared. Or in the least insulting way perhaps your strategy for approaching elite mobs needs to be re worked

I've been wanting to try your build really bad, but my gear is just atrocious, and honestly havent wanted to spend any gold on the AH till 60, so ill actually be able to afford 60 gear when i get it. Since my gear is total crap and im 59, ive just been doing a knockback/kite build thats been working OK in hell so far, but its slow progressing and i know it wont cut it in inferno. Once i get my last level ill actually go on the ah and start gearing towards your build. You said that ~40-50k hp, ~25% ele resists and 100 HP per hit is minimum, I was wondering what you think would be minimum Attacks per second?
