The most ideal place to farm is the MP level you can steamroll. If you can clear MP5 just as fast as MP0, then you should certainly be in 5. You said you could clear MP2 5x as fast as MP10. That means you aren't steamrolling MP10.
Now you say it takes 1 second to clear mobs?!? Some untruths going on...
Anyways, the adfice you gave is bad. As you can see I clearly proved that Monsters per hour >>>> MP level.

I can kill trash mobs on MP10 in virtually no time. Three seconds for higher HP mobs like Skullcleavers. Regular skeletons or Fallen Maniacs in Keep 2 take about a second to kill.
And my advice holds merit. You get an insane number of drops on high MPs not for the innate chance of items dropping from mobs, but the bonus drops you get per kill. More likely than not, there will be two items dropping from a single trash kill.
This is why a ton of people vouch to just pick up 5 NV on MP10 and kill only trash mobs and bypassing all elites. The rewards are astounding if you can manage to clear the content in 10-15 minutes compared to 10-15 minutes of MP3.
Please don't say my advice is bad unless you've repeat-farmed MP10 yourself. You want bonus item drops per kill. At paragon 100, have fun killing monsters and have them drop nothing.
If you kill 2500 monsters in one hour with 150 MF then your probability of getting a legendary is 100%. That is 1 legendary per hour.
If you kill 500 monsters in one hour with 150 MF then your probability of getting a legendary is ~95%. That is less than one legendary per hour.
Also, it's items that drop, not monsters you kill. Good luck getting 2,500 item drops on MP3 in one hour.
MF increases quality of drops, not # of items that are dropped. MP does slightly, but nothing huge.
Quit trolling. Its valid statistical data about MF. The basic system hasn't changed much, they just added to it.
If you can easily clear MP10 like you say, then you could steamroll 7 or 8. If you kill twice as fast in 7, then gasp look 60% more loot x 2 compared to 100% more loot. Guess which is higher?
And you could actually kill elite packs quickly as well...

Are you serious? Two runs of 60% chance for bonus items does not equal 120%.
And you're pulling a chart from a botting and hacking website (ownedcore) from July 2012. I'm sure it's completely valid as of today considering patch 1.05 (Monster Power debut) was introduced in October.

You kidding me, thats the best place to get statistical data. Bots.

You missed the point. Again. That chart was in place before Monster Power was even introduced.
The real point was that MF doesn't increase item drops. This seems insanely obvious... And it still doesn't.
MP does! And blizzard gave us that data. So its like 3rd grade child's play to add it in to figure out which yields the most drops.

On average you kill 200 monsters in one hour at MP7. Extra loot on average = 120 items per hour

120 > 100
This is pretty simple stuff... If you need a calc you can plug the numbers in google....
So again, bad advice...
You may prefer this style of gameplay, but its not the more efficient.
Don't mention it Still curious about the 5 stack thing though.
I'm working on that myself with a few other wizards. Some people are suggesting skipping the 5 stacks and just clear trash while others choose to pick up the NV first.
If I wasn't such a lazy bastard, I would comb the forum searching for one of your posts, where you said something (regarding reaching pLvl100) along the lines of "I don't ever want to do that again".
I'm sure he meant (in that post) the grind of xp-farming, which (if you want to make your time worth it) has to be done in a very specific pattern, in a specific Monster Power and with a specific build and mind-set.
That doesn't mean someone can't have fun killing ubers in MP10 or just generally playing the game in public games (which is a lot more enjoyable now with MP), and trying out different skills/builds/etc.
The amount of things I could learn in 2000 (or 800) hours is enormous.. why would I waste them in a game?, any game?..
YOLO. <- term well used, for a change.
Shouldn't go there. Some people say time isn't "wasted" when you're enjoying it. Else you can say "Why waste time watching a movie?" "Why waste time at a bar?" "Why waste time on a week-long cruise?" "Why waste time on a cross-country road trip?" "Why waste time climbing mountains?" "Why waste time working at all?"
A game is meant to be played and enjoyed. If you're not enjoying it, then yes, you're wasting your time.

You don't believe it's possible to enjoy a game yet still think a grind was brutal?
In WoW I did Insane in the Membrane. It was a pretty shitty grind, but it was a "badge of honor" for me, so-to-speak. I would never do it again, but I have no regrets that I did it once and I'm still proud of the title. It would be inaccurate for someone to interpret "I never want to do Insane in the Membrane again" as "WoW is a bad game that I don't enjoy."
I don't think Jaetch meant "getting to pLvl 100 was a mistake and waste of my time." I think, like my WoW analogy, he probably meant "I did it once, and that's enough, but I still did it!"
So how long does it take to farm up 19 billion gold like Kongor has?
Exactly 1427 hours and 32 minutes of playtime.
Somewhere between 1 hour (if you're extremely extremely lucky or just farm the RMAH using your credit card) and "never" (I'm not even close to one billion and don't think I'll ever get there, but I also don't care).
There are definitely not many people even close to that amount of money, otherwise everyone would have awesome gear (because for 19b you can almost buy a BiS char that tops the damage chart). Even though many people have a playtime comparable to him, there are only a very few with that kind of money. I guess he was quite lucky, or did some stuff like AH flipping or credit card stuff. Who knows. Even 2000 hours of playtime don't guarantee you a billion. Maybe one of his stream followers knows more.
Well hes got 2.2 mil total kills and 100k elite kills so maybe he did get a lot of good drops. I mean if you are close to 100k elites and havent gotten anything decent you have to be flagged for bad loot.

If you visualize the "virtual gods of RNG" with a "flag", you're right. Otherwise you should take off your tinfoil hat. There is no such thing as guaranteed good loot even with 1 million elite kills. There are people who play the lottery for 50 years and never win a cent. Then there are people who buy one ticket and win. There is also this one guy who got struck by a lightning seven times in his life. (Well, he could've avoided some of them but maybe he was a shepherd or something like that.)
he probably meant "I did it once, and that's enough, but I still did it!"
I love you shaggy, you understand me.
To put it in another way, it's "Gosh, Paragon leveling was such a drag, but I know the rewards will be there at the end, so I'm going to keep pushing. I accomplished it, and in retrospect I do not regret grinding for hours and hours and hours."
I had fun then. But I'm having more fun now with the freedom and the whole leveling experience behind me. It's like... bungee jumping. Thinking back, it was a pretty fun experience, but I don't think I'll be doing it again.
So how long does it take to farm up 19 billion gold like Kongor has?
Flipping used to be the main source of income. My old gear set was about 13 billion gold total and I managed to flip it all for 16 billion gold when I first left the game (not a great % net, but still something). Also, don't forget a lot of his fanboys/girls regularly donate to his "cause." Gold is cheap now.
Manually farming some multibillion gold is highly unlikely, even with 2,000 hours played.
Well, to be fair, I wasn't going out of my way to just grind out paragon the entire time (tried my hardest going from 90-100). I was doing other things at the same time, such as normal casual runs, ubers and... AH camping. Had I pulled an "Alkaizer," yeah, I probably would've lost my sanity.
Now you say it takes 1 second to clear mobs?!? Some untruths going on...

The only thing that's changed since is the % damage dealt by high MP monsters. You want the last stat, the bonus item drops per monster killed.
And good job pulling something that was last updated in July 2012.
