Just curious if anyone read it and realized who were the bosses and the potential expansion bosses as I did. Kind of disappointed I read it, anyone else?

Sometimes you don't always know where you stand... until you know that you won't run away.
You knew that The Book of Cain was about the lore of the entire universe of the Diablo series right? If you didn't want to learn about the back story(which is all it is. Anything that you deem as a spoiler is nothing more than inference to the future), then why did you purchase the book?

Not sure, but I believe the book was originally to be released about the same time as D3's first known target date (Dec 2011) so that would definfitely signal to me that there is a direct correlation between the game and the book, so one should expect there to be some spoilers in it. If that happens and you don't like the story to spoiled, just put it down and save it for the game's release.
the book spoils nothing, it informs you of everything you should know before the game happens. If you think something is going to happen now, well thats cause you know the lore up to d3.. but spoil means it says "OH HAI, YOU FIGHT THIS GUY IN ACT 2"
It doesn't straight up spoil anything, but to me it hints at a lot of things that are going to happen. Almost making it easy to predict. I don't know for sure yet since I haven't played the game.

And this is a bad thing? I don't understand the point in the statement.

I would imagine that the book wasn't meant to ruin anything, probably more so to introduce the characters and a little lore to the newcomers to the series. That and just being a really cool book for the players in general.

The book covers LORE..Lore that you should know before you play d3... If you know lore of course you can get ideas of what MIGHT happen, thats what so great about lore, we can start "Guessing" on whats going to happen, its why we have a full section on lore.
Everything in the book, people should know before going into d3.
^This crazy guy knows a thing or two...Maybe. That names a bit sketchy though.

I was glad I didn't buy it, I read through it in about 2 hours and Barnes & Noble. My favorite part were the letter from Cain. It does a wonderful job leading up to the Beta story, I just wished I skipped some of the characters......maybe ruin was the wrong word but oh well, I managed to go nearly a year before getting yelled at

I read the book of cain and have looked at reported datamined information of all kinds. I can predict much of what will happen, but I'm unsure of the specifics. I have had fun along the way and because of the information out there I'm actually interested in the story and the happenings of the world of sanctuary, when tbh I never was before. When playing d2 I didn't give a crap about any of the bosses or named units or regions. Now I'll be keeping an eye out for whatever new information I can learn while playing the game trying to connect the dots.
You will most likely raelize who the other bosses and who the expansion will be when you get to about 75%

(Forgive me for not reading the thread, I'm still disinclined to read whatever people have pieced together story-wise - true or not.)
