What drives me nuts is that I've been paying for WoW for years and years, just like a lot of people, and I just recently quit WoW then this happens, lol. I'll get over it, I just have horrible timing. ; ;
Click on whats in this picture, it takes you to the page. it should not say "view community site" it should now show "get diablo 3 for free"
Thank you. Also found this out looking into it more...
For the person looks for a collectors edition;
What if I purchase the Diablo III Collector's Edition?
If you decide to purchase the Diablo III Collector's Edition when it's available, and then choose to add your Collector's Edition license key to the Battle.net account associated with your existing World of Warcraft Annual Pass promotion, you will receive all of the benefits associated with the Collector's Edition, plus receive four months of World of Warcraft game time which is eligible towards your 12-month subscription commitment. After you purchase the Diablo III Collector's Edition you just need to input the product key into the Battle.net account associated with your World of Warcraft 12-month commitment and that account will then receive the next 4 months of World of Warcraft game time for free. For example, if you already had a month of game time on the associated World of Warcraft account when you input your Diablo III Collector's Edition product key, it would then be 5 months until your next subscription payment was due.

thats just it though, its PERFECT time for them, you know how many "you"'s there are? What blizzard just did was one of the most amazing business moves. They are going to have so many people lock in for a full year due to this ... right as subs go down a bit, BAM, what a move.
hands down to blizzard on this... and on top of this, they know there will be people like me who are doing this PLUS are still buying the game (via collectors) hands down GJ blizzard.

I agree, I think overall they did a good move, business-wise. I think you're right that a lot of people RIGHT NOW are purchasing a year of WoW time because they want free Diablo, get into the WoW beta, etc.
I'm not one of those people, just because I've lost interest in WoW, and don't like the direction it's going in. But it's great for all those people who are still playing or interested in it, of course.

Yeah it's definitely a smart business move from blizzard. I'm one of those who just quit WoW a few months ago and made me think of subscribing again. My decision will depend, though. It's either I buy the collectors edition (so I don't need to re-sub to WoW), which I didn't plan to or to get the free digital version (re-sub and commit 12months of WoW). I'm sure the cost will be not far from one another.

I love all loot fest kind of game! I will be playing all of them for the next few years. Loot fest games I'm looking forward to: LotR: War in the North,Torchlight 2,Borderlands 2 and of course Diablo 3.
They're really trying to squeeze as much money out of D3 as they possibly can, aren't they? It sickens me that they have to pull this maneuver just to bribe people into maintaining a WoW subscription. Personally I have nothing against WoW, but when it takes large hits from SWTOR, Blade and Soul, and GuldWars 2 I'll be jumping with joy.
They're treating Diablo 3 as a tool, and that upsets me.

why? they are one company... this is what a company should do. They fact they that came up with this idea is very impressive.
My Account is years and and I thought within good standing. Heck I even just paid a month so that I'd become eligible to this promotion. Opened a ticket and hopefully get this resolved. Until than look into and see if you are even eligible.

It isn't impressive. It's actually an extremely obvious business decision. They turn Diablo III into a gimmick to attract a dying WoW subscription base, and then smother the news with a new cinematic and lore video. It's a dirty trick, and you can't deny that.

So because something silly has happened I get punished. Oh fantastic... if that's what the GM say's I want a refund and I won't even play D3 or SC2 anymore. Like wtf.

No, its not a dirty trick, its a fantastic and smart idea. Its getting people like me, who were done with wow to pay or a FULL YEAR, it was the push I needed to keep playing, thats not dirty, thats smart on them. If we didnt want to keep playing, we still wouldnt.
Hands down its a smart move, and no "dirty". Use a high profile product to increase profits... uhh... thats the point of a company.
Wow isn't dying as much as people would like to believe and this is a good opportunity to get a package of two things you want. If you don't like it, don't pay for it.

Blizzard made D3 about WoW when they linked the two monetarily.
Oh. Well that's sad.

Mainly for the Tyrael mount in WoW, and then all the D3 goodness.
