Figured I could shed some light here, as I've been thinking about it a lot recently.
If the leaked changes are correct, it will change how we gear. At the very highest level, you'll still want the 'trifecta'. Attack Speed (AS), Crit DMG and Crit Chance with Dex. Currently, AS is valued the highest (usually, it can depend on your gear) of these stats due to it's roll budget.
On gloves for example, AS can go up to 18 (I think, not entirely relevant). This means that the new maximum value is 9. If you look at the stats based on their maximum possible rolls (these numbers are from my average geared DH with ~33% Crit Chance and a measly 125% Crit DMG):
What this means is that as a stat roll, the value of AS drops significantly. Before this change, 18 AS as a max roll would have given me 7.5k DPS.
As usually when you're buying gear, you won't frown on AS. However, something with high rolls of Crit Chance and Crit DMG are much more likely to give you more DPS than something with say, AS and Crit Chance/DMG.
Items with 'bad' combos like Dex/Crit Chance/AS will likely see a drop in value, whereas items that were formerly 'missing AS' and had high Crit Chance/DMG rolls will be worth more. As usual, items with the trifecta of stats will be worth a lot. If you're playing glass cannon and think about our possible stat rolls, Dex, AS, Crit Chance/DMG are really all we care about. You can find all these stats on Amulets, Gloves, Rings, etc. No other stat can take the place of AS in terms of our DPS, so it still has value. However, items without AS will likely see a large increase in value.
Be sure to update your spreadsheet numbers with halved AS values when buying new gear. And keep the changes in mind when shopping. For example, a 120 Dex Andariel's Visage with 6% AS and 3% Crit gives me less DPS than a 180 Dex random helm with 3% Crit. If you have items like Lacuni Bracers, you may want to consider dumping them immediately (or Asheara's Lock, Boj Anglers), because while their value is the utility stats, the DPS value was primarily in AS. Something like Boj Anglers suddenly becomes horribly worse than boots with 250 Dex and 12% Movespeed.
You shouldn't ignore the potential value of Vit/%Life with the coming patch either. Glass Cannon players who don't play perfectly are going to be eating significant repair bills, and for many I think the investment in some Vit gear at a slight loss of DPS will end up being well worth it.

The value of stats (especially Crit Hit/DMG) vary depending on gear. The spreadsheet can show you the numbers if you want to see them in your gear. It's also worth noting that 1% Crit DMG shouldn't be compared to something like 1 Dex or 1% AS, as you have to take the roll budget into consideration.
ASI items(Specifically: Lacuni's, Lament, 17% ASI rings/ammys/gloves, Tal Rasha's, Andariel's Visage, Boj Angler's) are going to see a massive drop in value.
Strong items without ASI are going to see a massive increase in value(6%+ crit helms with high stats, 4%+ crit bracers with high stats, Crit/Crit damage rings without ASI, similar with ammys, High Dex boots)
Another thing to keep in mind - weapons with IAS on them are going to drop in value, and dps. If you have one, SELL IT NOW.
Instead of ASI>Crit Damage>Dex, It's going to(probably) be closer to Dex>Crit damage>ASI.

Which leaked patch notes? Source?
LOL i like how he said "slight" dps loss he must be one of those kids who has a rich dad and buys him his gear on the RMAH

You can roll an item with 200 Dex, you can't roll an item with 200 Crit damage. So, 1% crit damage isn't really directly comparable to 1 Dex.
