As i'm sure most of you know, the Warcraft Facebook recently hit 1 million 'Likes' causing Blizzard to release some cool art in response to this amazing feat. Us DiabloFans are falling behind, as there is only currently ~550,000 'Likes' on the Diablo page. We need to step it up because Blizzard has promised us some pretty sweet goods in the near future if we can reach certain goals. Every 25k Likes (starting from 550k) Blizzard will release art, screenshots, and potentially wallpapers until we reach 1 million. So everyone, band together and 'Like' the Diablo FaceBook page so we can get some epic loot, :).
The Warcraft Facebook page recently hit 1million who 'Like' it and rubbed it in our faces. We know there are millions of Diablo players out there, and to take the fight back we have some incentives all lined up. Beginning at 550,000 'People Like This' of the Diablo Facebook page we'll post new art and screenshots, and for every 25,000 additional page 'Likes' we receive after that up to 1million. Let's do this!
Later, Bashiok slightly cleared up their plans as to how much information will be released at once, and how many likes the page gets normally.

On an average day the Diablo Facebook page gets about 4k new people who 'Like' the page. So even if that average holds steady there'd be some stuff released once a week. Hopefully though this causes a bit of a spike to get things moving.
It's 2-3 pieces per update, usually one piece of art and one screenshot.
You know what's even dumber? The university I wante go only gives a 100% paid scholarship to people how joined its facebook group the year before. Me, barely using facebook, never knew, and now the most I can get is 75%... stupid university. It's only one 100% scholarship, to the person who gets the best score in their exam, but I'm awesome and I know I would've got it.
Wow... all this "Liking" on facebook and all the "Demonstration" are so stupid that I can't really believe it. Remember that time someone posted a suggestion for everyone to change their profile picture to something else to stop, what was it, world-hunger? I don't know, but point being, who the hell cares what your profile picture looks like?
I can assure everyone, no kid in africa got a stake or a pizza because 10 000 facebook-users changed their picture to a blue elephant.
It's bullshit, and who the hell cares if you "Like" their group called "Whenever I hear Miley Cyrus, I dance in secret."?
Blizzard should release these teasers without us having to motivate people into "Liking" a certain group. It has no purpose.
Facebook is a just a site where parents find embarrasing picture of their abroad kids and for creepy people to stalk their ex.
Although I kinda agree with you this is quite different. It has a purpose: free marketing for Blizzard.
Truth is they don't release news about the game development just to be super nice people, they do it to create hype and get people to know about the game and be hooked already before buying the game.. And it's working, on me at least
This way they use their hardcore fan following to reach the casual gamers.
And they also help out potential employers, girlfriends, etc, that might check you out on facebook by letting them know that you're no ordinary 10 hour a week gamer...
I can't wait to see the art they have. Hopefully we get to see some new skills. Already about 2k more fans since this thing started! We should get some screenshots soon hopefully.

I'm not so sure you can equate the ridiculous "Change your avatar Campaigns that try to fix x problem in the world" to this. I think "liking" Diablo on Facebook is a relatively harmless undertaking compared to the reward of getting more info out about the game. It's not like they're taking our money or our time.
Also, we're the ones that are to be motivating Blizzard in this instance - we're supposed to be showing them that we want to see more. If Diablo is not worth 1M likes on Facebook, then is it really worth Blizzard taking their sweet time to make an incredible game?
EDIT: Thanks DiabloFans for letting me know; otherwise, I wouldn't have "liked" them
Average of 4k of people liking the page per day?
Wow...that's a lot.
We need to make a deal guys. Like a million likes in one day to get a release date in exchange or a beta start date..
Would possibly need to contact the Pope for that however. He's like the most popular guy(after Justin Bieber[?]) on this Earth, so he could help us reach our goal.
A top hacker would do as well.
I would like to see some new artwork and wallpapers.
I haz no facebook account by the way... Need to make one to stalk my exes. Like seriously.
I've only still got a few likes on my Facebook. One for Portal, Oh's! cereal, and I think that's about it. I want to "Like" Diablo, but I hate liking anything new on Facebook because any time I indicate a preference for anything they find more ways to advertise stuff to me. Yes, I know everyone knows by now that's how Facebook works, but I still don't have to like it. I'm mad now I've even typed Facebook this much at once.
8,500 likes to go for the next screenshots and art ;).
Advertisements aren't categorically bad. Facebook performs targeted ads, which are tailored to a person, and as such there's less cheap diaper ads to me.
I hate commercial. I erase everything all the time but it keeps coming back. Gonna search a hack for it.. BRB!

On topic, I already "like" Diablo on facebook.
