how much does that 1% poison damage matter on Zuni-Trail boots (7% vs 8% poison damage)? 1% doesnt seem to matter much to me but does it really matter?
also some dude was saying that the boots are bugged and that its really overall damage or something but havent read or heard anything about that.
If you have all physical damage on your weapon, you essentially gain +7% or +8% to your total dps from that affix on the boots since it will add that % to your weapon damage. The relative difference is something like 0.93% dps, so if you have 100k with 7% boots and upgrade to 8% boots, you raise your dps by 930.
If you have +elemental damage on your weapon, the dps gain is considerably less, probably more like 0.3-0.5% for the 1% extra.

that doesnt sound like much of a difference at all. considering that if you are doing 100k dps then shits gonna drop pretty damn fast anyways. Also most weapons dont add all physical. it just so happens that my current weapon does though
all items that adds % elementaldmg gives you that percent amount of dmg of your overall dmg as a bonus as that element. The only exception is if you have weapons with x-y elemental dmg and that dmg is not increased by the extra % elementaldmg. The 1% on the boots is a huge difference alteast if your weapons are pure physical dmg
what you said completely contradicts what the next poster said. 930 dps on 100k dps doesnt sound like much of a difference to me. i guess its all relative though... 930 dps is still 930 dps.
if i have a weap with poison dmg (ex: manajuma's) this 8% is a good add or not?
No, it doesn't increase poison damage by 8% it effectively increases your physical damage by 8% as poison damage, so it only applies to the damage on your weapon that is not poison damage.

What that person said was more or less the same as what I said, I just added numbers. Whether 1% is a huge difference or not is relative. I found it worth getting boots with the little bit extra when I first bought them because I figured if I was already paying 20 mil for them I might as well pay a little extra to maximize the damage, so to me it was worth it.

Btw. are they changing the min dmg "problem" with the next patch ?
min dmg "problem"!?
never heard of that
Right now the tooltip dps is based only on your total min physical damage. On the ptr it's based on your average physical damage. As I said before, I'm not sure if it's just a tooltip error or bug fix since I've only been looking at it from a tooltip dps perspective to get my spreadsheet to match.

Yeah, that's what I hear from people who have played on he ptr. Whether it's just a tooltip error or a bug fix, I'm not sure.
