Deadset 2.3 Guides
Deadset has put together a thread with links to all his Patch 2.3 guides, along with a brief description of where each fits in the current end-game meta. Useful for those looking for an all-in-one source that gives players the "big picture" about the current trends. See it below.
Heya, /r/Diablo, it's Deadset! I hope your journey in 2.3 is going well
You may recall a similar thread I did at the start of 2.3, but a number of new builds and variations have sprung up over time - this is my full written work on the ever-developing state of the Diablo meta!
CRUSADER
Proc Support Crusader
Love or hate supporting, you can't deny its usefulness in 4 man parties - and Static Charge Monks have turned out so potent, that entire builds develop around their most effective use. This fresh Support Crusader variation (affectionately calling it Procsader) focuses on Condemning and Smiting your way into a better, electrically charged future.
BARBARIAN
Support Barbarian
Did I mention supporting? A fresh take on spin-to-win, the spin-to-assist build takes advantage of two of the coolest Barbarian skills - Whirlwind and Ancient Spear - into a build that makes your party tougher, meaner and occasionally, more health globe-y.
MONK
Without a doubt the class that underwent the most innovation in this patch, the Monks are now healers, conditional DPSers and AoE clear gods, rolled into one.
Static Charge Monk
The current master and commander of the speedrun DPS role, as well as the undisputed solo champion - who would've thought these words would describe a generator build? The leaderboard speaks for itself however, and the Static Charge Monk is the living proof of what consistent procs and damage amplifying sets can do.
Sunwuko Exploding Palm Monk
Sunwuko might be set for a future rework into a six piece set, but even in its current state it boosts Exploding Palm to epic proportions - enough to warrant an entire build that projects the concentrated party DPS into bursty AoE clears. Though it might be gradually replaced by the Proc Support Saders, SWK Monks have proved themselves reliable secondary DPSers.
Heal Monk
One could mistake it for a crowd controlling build for a second, as Cyclone Strike is very obvious and prominent - but the true power is in the invisible numbers, and the insane healing output this build is capable of. The sole reason anyone in your party even survives in crazy high GRs, the healer Monk is essential in this patch.
Bonus Round - Uliana Monk
Undergone several revisions and abusing one of the more complex snapshotting routines in the game, this build nevertheless remains a cool-looking tool in the vast Monk arsenal.
WITCH DOCTOR
Zombie Bears Helltooth
This spec murders demons wth a skill called Zombie Bears. Need I say more?
Closing Words
I hope you enjoy these guides, and may they bring you shiny loot beyond all reason! Thank you for reading and good hunting
