posted a message on This game is getting less and less fun by the minute
    Quote from Jack00
There was this Barb on act 2 with crazy gear, all he was using was cleave, i didnt see him use any spells besides berserker and volcano, so please, don't come here and tell me you need skills to play this game a 10 years old could play.

So in your own words, you are less skilled than a 10 year old. Interesting. Cheer up, I'm sure you're not that bad! :D

D3 is a gear-focused game. With the changes in 1.0.3, it's a lot easier to farm the gear you need in the earlier acts, while also making it easier to progress in the later acts. If you kept farming Act 1 Inferno until you were sick of it pre-1.0.3 (when it wasn't as lucrative), thus meaning you're even more sick of it post 1.0.3 when it can drop some useful stuff... That's not really anyone's fault but your own.

Personally I can't wait to log in and get farming. Going to try progressing first, but if that doesn't work I'm totally up for farming act 1 some more. Still having fun, because I haven't gorged myself on the game. Pace yourself, maybe take a break and come back later. If you do the same thing over and over, no matter what it is, you're going to get sick of it.

posted a message on Banned for obscense language in official forum. Really?
You're rude, ignorant, condescending and downright horrible. Yes, you deserved the ban. If you really can't see why, then you need some lessons in social etiquette.

Besides, GW2 will have no maintenance? Yeah... I'll believe it when I see it. :P

Posted this on the official forums too? Best way to get Blizzard's attention.

Man, who tries these things out anyway. 'Hm, I wonder if this specific legendary can block mobs and prevent them from reaching me...'

posted a message on Blizzard didn't test the Witch Doctor!... or did they?
These whine threads exist for every single class. It's Inferno that is incredibly difficult, which makes you feel like you're broken: pretty much every problem you have will be fixed once Inferno is re-balanced.

Also, FYI: claiming stuff like 'Blizzard didn't test this class!' or 'Blizzard don't know their own game!' or anything similar makes you look like a complete tool. If you want your post to be taken seriously, be more constructive and respectful.

    posted a message on Barb + 1 Million Worth Of Gear = Acts 1, 2, 3
    Quote from Stormus

Very cool video, but it doesn't justify what Blizzard has done to the barbarian. If the point of this video is to prove that Barbarians are in an okay state right now, that's silly. Basically you geared your character into a meat shield stacking ilevel 63 magicals with high vitality/all resistance--it does work. However, Barbarians should be afforded the ability to gear for damage, and dare I say even dual wield weapons *gasp*!

Speaking as someone who has a Barbarian with 10.5 k armor, 18% melee dmg reduce, 950 AR, & 47% block, it isn't fun hacking away at mobs until your eyes bleed.

Except Blizzard have already stated they're fixing this in 1.0.3, so your righteous anger is kind of pointless.

More specifically: if slightly undergeared for the Inferno act you're attempting, you need to be defensive. Makes sense. However, as you get gear, you can start being a bit more offensive until eventually you can just nuke everything down within seconds. Inferno damage is being adjusted and the difficulty curve too, so it isn't nearly as crazy as it is right now.

So yeah. You won the battle. Hooray. :P

posted a message on Patch 1.0.3 Preview
    Quote from Spellmystery

Nice patch changes love them. Just a bit "nervous" about repair x4 or x5. So instead of lets say 7.000 gold repair, it will be 28.000 or 35.000 . Not everyone is "graveyard zerging" enemies. But as Triptic said...can't please them all! :D

Ideally, with these changes you'll only be dying a lot if you're severely undergeared. In other words...

Now, you'll die a lot because stuff one shots you, regardless of gear. It's ok though, because you can just run back and keep chipping away at their HP, dying 4-5 times in the process.

After the patch, you'll only die if you're really undergeared. If you're properly geared, you'll die once, maybe twice, or probably not at all if you're skilled. Less deaths means less durability loss, means less repairs required but they cost more.

The point I'm trying to make is I think it'll ultimately balance out. Sure, if you're undergeared and trying to bruteforce it you're going to suffer. But if you're appropriately geared and playing well, you shouldn't notice much change.

posted a message on Gear choices so hard :-(
100 strength will increase your DPS by 100%. Weapon DPS gets multiplied by your strength, so let's do some basic calculations.

700 DPS weapon, 1000 strength, OR
    900 DPS weapon, 900 strength

    700 * 1000% = 7000 DPS
    900 * 900% = 8100 DPS

There's A LOT more that goes into the math than that, but it gives you the idea. The short, easy to understand version: more weapon DPS is almost always better. If you have a choice between more strength or more weapon DPS, go for the DPS.

posted a message on Are people refusing to buy authenticators?
    Quote from Geesixyo

All they care about is profit. Blizzard should deliver acount security as standard, not optional thing, that's just nonsense. If they would really care about players security, the would attach this kind of device to their products, as free gift. You pay for something, that you are ought to get. And don't compare it to innsurance, we're talking about 50$ games compared to 20 000$ car.

Isn't just comfortable for Blizzard to say, well guys 2 millions account have been stolen, you have to be very careful, or hmm... maybe you will buy authenticator?
If account would get hacked, you can still recover it by providing your real id to Blizzard, so i don't see problem.

And this is exactly what I was referring to.

    1. They do offer it for free if you own a smartphone. No, it's not some clever ploy to get you to buy smartphones: Blizzard have no stake whatsoever in the profits from those.

    2. The physical authenticators are sold at cost: all Blizzard are doing is recouping the cost of making the authenticator. They are not making any profit whatsoever.

    3. it's not unheard of for Blizzard to just say 'you've been hacked too many times, your account is permanently closed now'. Of course, you'd need to be hacked many times for this to occur, but why take the risk? Also, by relying on Blizzard's account restoration service, you're wasting the time of Blizzard's customer service department, which in turn wastes money. Congratulations, you're selfish.

Just get an authenticator. It's not hard.

posted a message on pay 9,99 extra because they got a security problem?
Congratulations on being entirely ignorant to the point to and reason for authenticators, and why they have to cost money.

See, in the real world, people can't give stuff away for free. They need to factor in the cost of making the product. If Blizzard could, they would give the authenticator away for free (and do, with the smartphone app): however, they need to ensure they aren't losing money on the authenticator, so at the very least they get back the cost to create the product.

No, there's no secret money-making ploy at work here. You just need to grow up and do what's necessary for the sake of your account. Can you imagine how ridiculous it would get if they didn't require an authenticator to use the RMAH?

There have been 0 cases of hacks on accounts with the physical authenticator . It's the only way to ensure nobody gets their credit card details stolen. If you don't want to take the necessary precaution, then you miss out. Your loss, nobody elses.

posted a message on Go sign Diablo 3 Complaint for EU servers failure!
    Quote from Forro

I am shocked by the ignorance displayed in this thread. When a customer is dissatisfied with a service, it is his right to voice his opinion.

That'd be your ignorance then, I'm afraid. Expecting perfect server status is completely unreasonable. You can bitch and moan all you like about it, but it won't solve anything. Blizzard are already working hard to fix the issues, so why keep hurling criticisms and insults their way? Let them keep working and they'll get it fixed ASAP.

You can voice your opinions, but that doesn't change the fact that it's entirely pointless to do so.
