Yeah, it's always been 12am pacific. Expect it.

No, no it has not, in fact it has never been that other than most recent games,, (2)
It was 100% 3am Eastern (12am Pacific) for Cataclysm.

They must remain silent for at least two more months for it to be "more likely a Q3 release"

Haha, remember in december when we all knew it was coming out in Q1?

Im pretty sure Jay has a decent idea of when the game will be ready to ship, if he didnt he wouldnt be very good at his job.
Sure he has an "idea" as you put it so nicely. My point exactly, being that he only has an idea. He knows that the game will be ready to ship for Q2.

The game is way more likely for Q3 at this point.

    You're posting on a forum about D3, The 'Soon'™ Game, what are you talking about?! ^^;;

The joke's on us. This is Diablo 3. It's a forum based, social game where people argue about a fictional game that will never come out.

    Truly a next gen experience.

So far it's sold 9 billion angry posts.

I think the way this drama has unfolded over the last 6 months is a pretty good sign that he's possibly not very good at his job...

"It's ready when it's ready, ok, we'll cut pvp for launch, but we are still tweaking/fine-tuning, it's close, 9/10, not even soon, its VERY CLOSE, despite the fact that we've been 'Polishing' (also known as revamping MAJOR game systems, also known as DEVELOPING the game, definitely NOT polishing) this game for 6-8 months."

If they want to compete with other titles, they should act now. Guildwars 2 now has a pre-order date, and info on all the goodies for pre-orders/deluxe edition/CE :)

If they wanted to compete with other titles, they would have released this game 2 years ago. A game coming out 4 YEARS after it's officially announced is unheard of. Especially from a major developer.

it's getting a "little" ridiculous, its not like they dont know the date yet...
Says the Blizzard insider? Actually you don't know for shit if they know the release date or not. You don't really seem to grasp how these things work.
It's actually much more likely that Jay Wilson himself doesn't even know the release date.

Agreed. Everyone knows that when you describe a release date's imminence as a "9/10," that it most likely means 1-8 months.

wouldnt it be hilarious if they gave a release date for MoP during the MoP event

ok i know the beta hasnt even started yet, but saying if they did give a release date

it would be so funny :boom:

but i guarntee one thing, i bet they give more info on MoP than they ever have with D3

Say what you will about WoW, but at least that dev team PRODUCES CONTENT.

Sucks for Blizzard, because if Diablo is anything short of life-changing, it's going to be somewhat of a dissapointment.

Here's my advice: We know you are making Titan, but PLEASE don't tell us anything about it (show us anything, etc) until you KNOW you can get it in our hands within 2 years.

    "Fan site roundtable?"

What the fuck is there to talk about?

Blizzard: "We are thinking about cutting the PVE content to make our launch date, we will add it in later"

Fansite stuff, its nothing at all, which is why I kept saying people were looking into it =P

But this is my point exactly, the only news people want at this point is a date. So ANY other updates from Blizzard at this point just fan the flames. Especially cryptic meetings that turn out to be nothing.

Thanks for the updates that that thing everyone tweeted about wasn't worth tweeting about...

Can't really be called a PR failure we are still here and desiring the game...

It's absolutely a PR failure. The game should be at the forefront, not the dickweeds behind it.

When you let idiots get on twitter and represent your company, you are going to regret it.

People feeling somehow 'entitled' to a release date simply because the company said they're 'counting down the days'... God.. It's just an expression, stop taking every god dang comma these folks spit out so literally. I'd not want to be in Blizzard's shoes right now, with the development stress of the game on one hand and a bunch of spoilt brats whining that their precious game's been delayed by a few days on the other...

Blizzard brought this on themselves by:

    1. Announcing the game about 2 years too early.
    2. STRONGLY hinting at release windows (end of 2011, Q1 2012, "Early 2012"), despite their denial of ever doing so.
    3. Constantly updating us about nothing. (They really should have stopped communicating with us, no info is better than constant teasing).
    4. Trolling their fans' desire to play this game (bashiok for example seems to love to just be a massive dick for no reason).

This is not about being "entitled" or "spoiled." It's about simple expectations. If you announce a game, its safe to assume that it will be out in 2 years. If you say the game is coming out in a certain window, it's safe to assume that the game will come out around then. I and everyone else support Blizzard with our money, while no company should bend to the will of it's customers completely, to ignore them or even worse (Bashiok) insult them, is altogether idiotic.

posted a message on New Tweet from Jay :( not good news.
I understand that games take a long time to do right, especially when making fist fulls of money is your primary goal.

BUT, someone at Blizz needs to fire all those forum dweebs, like ballsiack, or whatever his name is. He gets paid to be a fat turd and twitter, AND to troll and disrespect the people that ultimately pay his salary.

Since when is pissing off and pissing on your fans a "Good PR strategy?"
