In a hurry to X-fer it to my zelaot, I dropped it on the ground and exited, not allowing the game to perm....losing it only a minute after rolling it. POOF...gone forever.
I accidentally threw a 405% EbotD on the ground once in a pub game and it got swooped up. If lag hit at the right time while you were putting an item from your char to your stash, the lag could cause the item to be thrown on the ground
Which is exactly why im glad im not playing d2 anymore, stupid shit like that happened all the time, that game was flawed to no end.
As a barbarian the worst combo ive met was: Ghastly Gravedigger, with Fast Horde Ilusionist Molten.
They have a passive small knockback with almost no cd so they push u up against a wall and u cant move or do anything, all u can do is watch while u die
With my barb, i just whirlwind out of vortexs and whirlwind in with knockback, never get caught in a corner though, lol
the wizard that beat diablo in inferno by himself only had 6k life, but had 44k dps, and not much res, you gotta find gear that coincides with your skills and passives and learn how to survive.
i recently just started using bash with the last rune that hits enemies in the back of the mob group and it is awesome, i just whirlwind out of mobs and always stay at the front of the pack and its amazing, plus the warcry that slows down enemy attacks, and earthquake, it is the best build i have found in the game, cause for one, i hate kiting.
The thing is that armor suffers from diminishing returns, so the more armor you stack the less effective each point is. That's why resistances are so important. If you would like to have the optimal ratio of armor versus resistances, aim for 1:10 (1 armor versus 10 resistance), so lets say you have 6k armor, then you should aim for 600 resistance. If you have them in this balance, you are the most cost effective in your attribute budget.
Why is it that? Well the 1:10 ratio comes from that Strength gives 1 armor per point where Intelligence gives 1 resist all per 10 points, hence the ratio. And why the sweet spot balance? Because they are both multiplicative (not additive, as that could possibly make you invulnerable).
The funny thing is, you cannot achieve 100% reduction, as you would need infinite amount of armor/resist.
But, barbarian naturally has very high armor, so don't be afraid to sacrifice it for resist all. If you have 300-400 resistence without warcry 50% buff, use that skill asap, it's a wonder, almost a must have for a beginner in Act II(if it is with buff already, aim for AT LEAST 500,probably will need more to be safe). Your armor is a bit too high, but thats ok. 50k Hp is fine for start, more never hurts thou. You suffer a lot from low DPS. 9.5k is barely enough to beat Butcher before enrage, aim for 14-15k, preferably more (screw sword and board,it sucks, unless you have really, like really, nice pair of sword and shield... I'm using 2hander and it rocks).
In short, Barbarian is one of the most gear dependant, if not the top one, so be patient while farming/searching AH, your biggest problems seems resistances and damage.
Oh, and I'm a fellow barbarian in Act II Inferno as well, slowly making progress, but still need more farming. Hope this wall of text helps.
Wow, i didnt know any of that, im currently in hell with my barb, and im doing really well with no res, lol. But this is great info ty. Speaking of deminishing returns for armor, does diminshing returns apply to other stats as well such as gold find? Cause i had tons of gold find on my wizard, and i was getting less gold.
Well i found out the problem, for all of those reading this DO NOT process kill the diablo 3 client if it bugs or if you cant find a game to join, there is a bug that make the server think you are still logged in, cant play until the servers are reset, thanks blizzard.
Yea i was playing earlier, logged out, logged back in and im getting error 3006, cant get past my hero check, anyone else having problems right now? I thought this was all taken care of..
Juat curious if anyone is using a lot of MF in NM+ and surviving, i cant seem to find any decent gear that increases my DPS and Life with Mf mods on them.
