Aug 7, 2014Shadz posted a message on DiabloFans Introduces Diablo Builds! This is really cool but don't you think it should have its own page since it is taking up a lot of real estate on the main page and actually requires the user to scroll down to look at the latest news instead of seeing the headline of the latest news as you land on the homepage. Just my 2 cents.Posted in: News

+(143-286)–(334-667) Poison Damage
Increases Attack Speed by 10-11%
Critical Hit Damage Increased by 66-100%
One of 2 Magic Properties (varies)
+170-200 Intelligence
+170-200 Dexterity
+2 Random Magic Properties
Empty Socket
If those 2 random properties roll weapon % damage and a socket, you end up with a Manticore that has 2 sockets, poison damage and weapon % damage. The one socket is guaranteed, the second one is one of the 2 random properties.
Yes a perfectly rolled rare hellion with max min-max physical, max attack speed, max crit damage, a socket, max dex and max dex + vit roll will be better the chances of it happening are near impossible, which makes a Manticore with 2 sockets a much better item, on average.

The chances to roll weapon % damage AND a socket on a Manticore is very very rare considering all the random properties in game that can roll on a weapon.
The simple fact that legendaries are pretty rare (don't look at the auction house, look at your own game experience) it makes sense that they are as powerful as they are now. Are you going to roll the best legendary possible? I doubt it and that's a good thing. As long as its not terrible and relatively useful, everyone (mostly) is happy.

Amen to that.

So basically if it rolls High poison damage (286-667), 50% weapon damage, 11% attack speed, 100% crit damage, 200 dex AND 2 sockets, you have the most insane crossbow ever.
The only reason why it is the best item in the game now and beats rares is because it can have 2 sockets and roll weapon % damage over and above the already insane base stats. Is it a bad thing? I don't think so. A perfectly rolled rare will still compete. Just a perfectly rolled Manticore will be better. An ilvl 63 legendary crossbow being best in slot? Not the worst thing to happen to this game.

Depends on your definition of fun. Spamming buttons while trying to survive facetanking, is not fun for me. Killing things extremely quickly while avoiding stuff is more enjoyable. Plus I don't farm for more than 2 hours at a time due to the fact that I have a job and really can't afford to spend more time. So focusing for 2 hours a day really isn't that draining on my brain. Each to his own I always say.
Also I have farmed without MF and since farming with MF, I will never go back to farming without it. Gear with all the stats you want go for stupidly high amounts of gold.

4 set Natalya's is expensive but definitely worth it. Add in MF gear with high dex (not expensive at all really) and you have a great act 3 farmer with high MF. It does require a certain amount of skill to not get one shotted, since the gear you have generally lacks Vit and all res. Once you get the farming down and build up your gold by selling items you find, you can start looking for the expensive gear ie. High dex, high vit, all res and MF.

I have never read such drivel in my life. Take your conspiracy theories elsewhere. WoW subscriptions have ALWAYS fluctuated during periods of lack of content. ie. at the end of an expansion. Diablo 3 is a great starting point for a game. Is it the best it could be? Not even close. Is it still one of the best made games in terms of gameplay (not including loot drops, because we all know how crap they are 99.99% of the time)? Probably. It can only get better. The annual pass was merely a way to get players to get Diablo 3 for free if they knew they were still going to be playing WoW for a year. It wasn't forced on you. You had a choice.
Mists of Pandaria will more than likely increase WoW subscriptions by a huge amount, if not bypassing the highest amount of subscriptions WoW has ever had. Blizzard is a great gaming company and they know what they are doing. Did they milk the cash cow with Diablo 3? Yes. Is it biting them in the ass? Yes. Are they going to fix it and make it what it was supposed to be? More than likely.
