posted a message on Diablo II Remastered at Blizzcon

If they just do a prettier D2 with 3D graphics I would play it for sure. BUT...how cool would it be if they tossed in a larger inventory on the character, a shared stash, and then some other quality of life improvements?

I would love to go through Diablo II with a good friend that I play D3 with. I wonder if they will make hooking up in multiplayer easier in a remastered D2?

    Give me runewords

Oh, hell yes. Grinding for runes would give us all good reason for hundreds of hours of new fun. We now have the Cube already. Just toss us 20-30 solid runewords.

@Metropolis_Man: Really? I personally found Curses is relatively easy, but not *that* easy. I guess depends a lot on which class you play... certainly no joke on WD, and I assume not on Crusader either. Of course ridiculously easy on DH. Not sure about wiz, barb, monk; probably doable but require a decent gear power level.

Oh, yeah - once you get a Wave of Light Monk properly geared up to the point where he can spam them it's not hard at all. I failed the first couple attempts and then it clicked - you can't take the time to actually target stuff. You have to just hold down the shift key go bonkers with it obliterating everything in the area because then the waves will come faster. The spirit you go through is ridiculous and you need to make some adjustments once that Bounty actually spawns. It's so rare - that was a pain in itself.

Oh, I am so glad Curses! is back. Much easier than Avarice I think. I was able to get Avarice this season, but it took about 7 attempts in the cow level.

Good comments, as always, Bagstone. I am undecided too on S8. A Wave of Light Monk is probably in the top 3 builds for sheer farming speed, and I have not done him in awhile. So, I'll probably farm for those Sunwuko pieces right off the bat, and then open the Headrigs gift bags on a Barb and do an IK HOTA build. So fun and a simple rotation.

It's kind of nice to see a cute animated Diablo on the Battle.net launcher to tie in with the Virtual BlizzCon ticket. I just noticed they added that change this morning. Not that it's a dead giveaway that Diablo fans are getting big news soon - but taken with the job posting and everything else...who knows? :)

Season 8 after Blizzcon ... R.I.P. or rebirth for Diablo. Im skeptical about future of Diablo series ...

Who from developers from Diablo team will come on stage at blizzcon ? Wyatt Cheng, Travis Day and Paul David ? lol please dont

Or whomever they hired to be the new lead, which is the more likely answer, and we all know Cheng is simply acting as intermediary right now, not a full time lead developer.
I don't think they have hired anyone as of yet. The Game Director position is still on their site...

I think it would be really cool to start a Diablo MMO where Diablo I started. All the awesome lore is there. They just need to put a nice dress on it for the party.

Once you are sick and tired of GR (like me), NS has very little to offer. If we had other legit end-game activities, then yes, my NS characters would see more usage.

I have always thought that the uber fights could be made much more difficult. The thing about the uber fights is - they are always the same. So, in a way they are perfect ways to rank players. The way players are ranked now you have no idea who has the easier maps and better shrines. It makes a big difference. Just start a timer when a player ports in to an uber boss fight. But, the fights need to be harder and have possibly multiple waves, or maybe a couple more levels, so we're talking about maybe 5 minutes of work.

Without seasons/ladder I feel a game has a more continuous appeal, whereas with seasons you ask yourself more often "what am I doing here". At least I do.
That's a really interesting observation, Bagstone. Yeah, imagine if there were no seasons at all, and no Paragon system. BUT...somehow Blizzard managed to come up with ongoing permanent rankings, so players would still have a reason to push and be competitive. Too late for D3 I am afraid but hopefully D4 will have a better competitive system.

It's the fresh start for me, so of course I would play without the stash tab carrot in front of my face. I am not a pack rat, so to be honest all the extra stash tabs for me are empty anyway. Lol.

posted a message on Leveling 1-70 season 7

I'll probably be doing rifts as usual to get to 70. That said, I am not sure how a couple hours either way is going to make a difference for anyone. We all know 99% of the time in a season is spent post-70. We all know a season is three months. Not sure how doing x getting to 70 = 2 hours vs doing y getting to 70 in 3 hours is a game changer for anyone.

I'll be doing a Whirlwind Barb. I do not care that it is not the strongest Barb build. With the free Wastes set it will be a good farming build for the beginning of the season and I can transition to a Frenzy Thorns build later.

Forget it man, Consecration is dead and they haven't wiped PTR at all.

The time stamp of that run is 12:17 PM yesterday which means the new PTR actually was applied for them.
