It's crunch time. They wan't to get the game out the door. I would be surprised if they were only working 8 hours a day. It's most likely much more, even if the hours aren't logged officially.

I'm really hopeless at changing timezones to fit mine, and the spike tv website doesnt exactly say what timezone it's in or have a countdown.

Can anyone give me a time from when you post as to how far away the show is? or if you can give me the time it's showing for me (melbourne, victoria, australia) it would be much appreciated.

Also, is there anywhere in particular we can watch it or will i have to find a bootleg stream?

I think people seem to forget what the tooltips were like in diablo 2. In terms of the on-screen player UI, all you got on your left and right mouse buttons was the name name of the skill, no details about it. There's no reason why D3 can't do the same or with a little bit more info, and then have the full details of the skill in your skill tab menu or when you visit a nephalem shrine.

It's been a while since i viewed the specifics. Turns out both costs are to be fixed now, but i believe to cash out to a 3rd party will probably be % based

Blizzard stated when the RMAH was revealed that the price for listing would be a static price, while the cut taken from a sold item would most likely be a percentage. Both values are yet to be determined.

As for the Video: It's made by Extra credits, and only published by penny arcade. It premiered 2 or 3 weeks ago, but who knows when the script for that episode was written.

Just to clarify, I'm not actually putting together a list of people wanting to give keys and people wanting to recieve keys, I am just trying to provide an area where people in our community in the PoE beta can come, find a post by someone who is looking for a key, and then PM them to get it worked out. As of yet I haven't recieved any keys so i don't have anything to give out.

Well the PoE beta is well underway, and their new method of inviting people is still one of random invites every 25 minutes, but everyone who does get an invited also gets an extra invite for a friend

so i propose (if it hasn't already been done) that we use this forum and community as a way to spread these extra friend invites to people who would be interested and have not been lucky enough to get one with the timer yet.

so I'll start of the requests. if anyone has a key, I would really appreciate it please PM me with details, and lets keep the requests and gifts rolling.

For everyone up in arms about this thread saying "none, leave diablo be" I think you are misunderstanding the idea, because some of you are referencing items in WoW that would transfer over that you think would ruin the game. thats not what we are talking about at all! nobody is suggesting taking an item (graphical design and stats) directly from WoW and putting it in D3.

I'll give you an example. everone knows the SoJ (stone of jordan) from D2. It was a pretty big deal, so to add a little bit of funny flavour to WoW, they made a BoE epic item called the staff of jordan (SoJ) get it? no time-space continuum breaking item ripped from D2, but enough of a connection for people to go "hey! I see what they did there! that's pretty cool"

A similar example from WoW (jeez it's been so long i cant really remember any of the items) would be like a helmet for barbarians called "Crown of the wraith king" or "Frost lords crown" with a bit of flavour text to do with the lich king such as "there must always be one to maintain control"

now does that make things a little bit more realistic for you all?

just thought I'd add a bit of clarity (sorry about my poor WoW references, it has been a couple of years and I can't remember any meaningful items or acronyms for items and can't be arsed looking them up)

I have to agree. Having guilds/clans in a diablo game really doesn't make much sense. I like the lone wolf style where everyone's in it to spec the best character they can. There are plenty of community components like the auction house too but I simply don't see what purpose guilds would have.

D1 had clan tag support. I'm not sure if D2 did, I never went looking for one to join because I had friends online by that stage and the friends list worked well enough for us to keep in contact.

Like others have stated above, I would really appreciate some sort of guild/clan system, which i was looking forward to use to bring various friends from different backgrounds together. Another thought would be to have a visual tag, such as a part of your battle standard (the flag on a stick, i can't remember if that was it's official name) reserved for a clan/guild design, rather than a nametag tacked on to the front/back of your character name.

Hello everyone! I have been a long time reader of this site and it's forums, from back in the days of d2 (when this website used to be known as diablo3.com if I'm not mistaken!)

With the imminent release of D3, I figured it was about time to come out of the woodwork and become a more active part of our lovely community. I look forward to many great conversations on these forums as well as the official ones (I carry my name everywhere)
