This won't kill rif, nearly change the mechanics. After a guardian is dead, the opener create a new game, opens a rift, invites the Ritter and leaves. Now it only costs 1 rift fragment, but takes 30 seconds longer. No big deal, it's actually a buff to the rif community overall.

I'm pretty sure that's not gonna work. As I read it, you cannot join a rift unless you contribute a rift key. Otherwise there's no point in opening a rift with a full group, you would always disband, open, and invite your three friends.

Well that sucks. I guess we'll know for sure when the PTR opens.

    posted a message on 3 hours farming T3 Rifts + Kadala = 0 legendaries
I think a lot of people are playing on too high a difficulty to see good drop rates. go play on master and see how long it takes to kill mobs. Then do T1. If it tasked you 5 min to clear a rift on master, unless you can do the same in t1, you'll see the 15% increase. If it taked you more than 45 seconds longer, it will result in fewer drops per hour. The problem is there are generally only two difficulties that are efficient., time wise. The highest you can clear while ones hitting everything in normal-master, and T1. T2-6 are useless for finding loot efficiently, though they do offer other rewards that make them worth while.

posted a message on Distinct Lack of Set Items
after I hit 70 I found one set item(blackthornes boots) and nothing for a very long time. Then the other day i got 2 set items back to back within 1 minute of each other. Its all RNG. I do think set items are rarer though. I seem to recall blizzard saying at one point that the better legendary items are weighted to be rarer than the basic ones which makes sense based on what i see people finding the clan i'm in.

I haven't seen a cow level rift yet, but i've seen two rift levels full of cuddly teddy bears and unicorns.

Curious, how long did it take you to do the 5 bounties and 15 rifts?

posted a message on T1 Bounty And Rift Loot Distribution (Video)
I think world drop rates are close to good where they are at, could stand to be buffed a bit, what does need fixing is cache rewards and rift guardian rewards. I've yet to see a legendary item, set item, or plan of any type drop from a cache, or rift guardian. I have gotten several forgotten souls from rift guardians, but no actual gear or even plans. I've also gambled away a couple thousand blood shards and not seen a legendary yet. I know RNG is RNG, but a 0.0001% chance of getting something is very discouraging. I'd really like to get into T1 one day, and i can play T1 now, but no where near fast enough to be efficient, or with enough survivability to not be dying constantly.

posted a message on So I opened 100 Horadric Caches.
I've opened probably 25-30 caches so far and not gotten a single legendary. Though i'm running only on master difficulty so far, I dont know how much an effect that has on the drop rate, or lack of. Also of note is I've done roughly the same amount of rifts, maybe a couple more, and again, not a single legendary drop from the rift guardian's yet. Also in master difficulty.

posted a message on The Elephant In The Room ; Sockets
I think its ok as is, the only problematic slot is chest with 3 sockets blowing all other available affix's out of the water, and weapons doing the same. The problem isn't having to choose to give up a good stat to get a 3 sockets on your chest armor, its that you don't have a choice, 3 sockets is so far better then other stats that the choice is this:

for example, on chest pieces:"which stat do i want to give up to get my 3 sockets?"(this is a forced choice you are making, though it is a valid choice)

instead of this: "do I want to give up this stat for 3 sockets instead?"(this would be a real choice, if stat values that can roll in primary are all competetive for different builds, we could choose what we want to use)

I think the solution for sockets is to change what they can add. 3 sockets on a chest piece just adding X to strength, or dex is boring. Maybe the stats that sockets add should be unique that only gems can provide, not in overpowered quantities, but something that couldn't normally roll, like crit chance on a chest piece.

posted a message on Reaper of Souls ending
the endings are identical, aside from a different drawing to show the character, and the voice over mentioning the different class/sex combo's. I'd much rather have seen a single cinematic. one that rivaled the intro cinematic.
    Quote from FoxBatD2

The ending is a little different for each character class, that's partly why. Too expensive to do it up for all 12 possible class/sex combos.

Any idea why blizzard neglected to do a proper ending cinematic? After the epic intro, and cinematics from vanilla, i was hoping for something equally great at the end of reaper, but... i'm quite disappointed. :(

posted a message on Very smooth Expansion Launch?
I was as cynical as they come expecting a terrible botched launch, based on some of the lag issues they had with 2.0 prior to the launch, but the actual launch went amazingly well. Good job Blizzard! The added content is just amazing too.

posted a message on bonus blood shards
Does anyone know if the acts with bonus(double) blood shards are always the same act? I've only seen act 4 & 5 labeled as bonus out of every single adventure mode game i've made, which is only about a dozen or so, but that seems odd that it never moves around. Is blizzard going to change it weekly or something?

posted a message on Asia servers are now RoS
I'm going to try to play tonight at the US launch, but i'm very doubtful of any success. Blizzard is just not capable of a successful launch of a game or expansion, no matter how many billions of dollars they have, they can't spare a few bucks for some extra servers. It would help their PR imensely if they had smooth launches, not to mention probably more customers who would pay for extra servers and probably get them even more profit.
