    Quote from Mruos

EndersGameD3: Trading inside the party will be useful if you play untwinked (which means no boosting, no trading etc), because you can't exchange your loot for money on the battle.net market.

However, most people don't play like that. If you have access to the market, two party members exchanging two items of equal monetary value because they are more fit for the person that didn't loot them gives no advantage because they might as well sell the items for money with random strangers and buy whatever they want. italofoca explained this on the page before. It's a very simple concept.

Again - the only reason you gear up faster with a party is because you kill stuff faster.

Yes, I realize that, but we were talking about
assuming you're playing with good trustworhty friends and everyone will follow the rules set. And even in thoes situation, in the best scenerium, the problabilty DOES NOT CHANGE.

Lol reading the quote just makes you laugh.

Anyways like you said, sharing(means having more than one player in the game) will increase your chance of your "problabilty"(lol) because you will get gear faster by killing stuff faster.

    It is a simple concept.

And not even "3 pages essey" is enough to explain it to you.

Or anybody else until you can learn to write correctly.

P.S. - If your going to use my quote against me, at least spell "essay" right. It's not helping your argument.

Lol considering the way you type. :hehe:

A tip: you're not taking in consideration what you LOSE for sharing and that this item you lost can be traded for gold and gold traded for what you need.

You should clearly read mine too.

If your playing with a random player, you could always trade something of worth(scraps, gems, gold)in game for that item.

Unlike you, I don't have to write a 3 page essay to make sense for something so logical. ;)

Your not taking consideration in what you can GAIN for sharing. :hehe:

You don't need game theory to calculate this (but you can use it and prove that share itens is a unstable equilibrium - once someone decide to break the deal, everyone will also break the deal).

That is game theory, its Nash Equilibrium.

It's a zero sum situation. One player will only win if other player loose. Your chance only increase if you decrease the chances of your friends. So the chances of all players gearing thenself up DO NOT INCREASE (share itens will only make the distribution of wealth not equal among players, wich is really bad imo).

Now D3 is a zero sum game? isn't that solved with Nash Equilibrium.

I dunno, using logic, if there are 4 players in the game and you are all sharing. Your chances should increase. If your playing with a friend, you should assume he/she will get you back as soon as they find something for you. If your playing with a random player, you could always trade something of worth(scraps, gems, gold)in game for that item.

Again logic, game pace is faster with four player, more items will drop, and your chances to gear will increase.

posted a message on Drops for You and Me
    Quote from Roger

I am worried about this system which everyone has his own drops and you have to actively pick up and drop items you want to make "globally available".

Better than somebody stealing a drop meant for you and then leaving the game. If anything, just communicate with your fellow player through chat. Blizzard said there will be an inspect feature so you should know if the item is an upgrade for that player.

posted a message on What do you think about Cooldowns in PvE
I dont know why people get so worked up on cooldowns. Cooldowns is not a WOW System, its a game system used by many other games too, and an alternative way to balance the game itself. It is usually better to balance the game with more factors than just configuring the characters resources, and skill dmg output. Obviously some skills are going to be better than others, that's why there are going to be tiers in the game.

Looking at the Barb tier 7 skills for example, these skill look like they should be placed on a cooldown or at least take up 80% of the characters resources. If I had to choose, I rather pick a cooldown so I can use my resources for my other skills. In sum, a more engaging fight with a larger variety of skills used in a battle.

    Tentative Tier 7 Barb Skill:

Call of the Ancients—The only summoning skill of the Barbarian, this one allows him to summon the Ancients from Diablo II, who will briefly assist in battle.
    * Description: Summons three ancient Barbarians; Talic, Korlic and Madawc, who inflict X% weapon damage. Lasts X seconds.

Earthquake—This stomp causes massive damage to all nearby enemies.
    * Description: Shakes the earth violently, causing massive damage to all nearby enemies.

Wrath of the Berserker—This shout grants higher stats and enables the Barbarian to partially break monster immunities.
    * Description: Enter a heightened sense of fury, raising several stats (Critical Hit, Attack Speed, Dodge Chance, Movement Speed) for X seconds. Monsters with damage immunities will take X% less damage from the Barbarian’s attacks rather than being immune.

    Triple Wizard half ass strategy.

Disintegrate everything. Use teleport and wave of force against close combat targets. Diamond skin when stuck in a binding. If the enemy focus target one wizard at a time, the targeted wizard will slow time and the other 2 will disintegrate/meteor the living crap out of the enemy.

"Amount of skills in Diablo III, with all player runestone variants included, is currently topping 700."

700 skills, thats a butt load! Considering theres about like 10 active skills for each class(random guess), thats a lot of skill variation from the runestones. Discuss.

posted a message on Anyone notice how the Inventory has changed throughout development?
    Quote from Azriel

Or we can just have the talisman, y'know, somewhere on their necks. Maybe in the middle of their chest.

I dunno. Not trying to troll, but I don't know why they would go through the extra effort to personalize the talisman slot for every class.

Its just an assumption because the portrait beside the gear could be a placeholder for another element or become a interactive script(mousing over the talisman of the portrait will highlight it, and then clicking on it will take you to the talisman page). They made the effort to make a portrait for each inventory and skill tree. However in the talisman page, the slots could be the same/different for all classes.

    Quote reposted

I'm aware of what class I'm playing, I have no idea why I would need a picture of that beside the gear I'm wearing. It seems out of place and just placed there for a filler.

Bashiok: There's something that goes there. Another UI element that was purposefully hidden.
