sorry to ask this, but why the hell would anyone want a Tshirt.. do you guys actually wear it?
For me.. obviously all the art stuff.. thats the only reason why i get the CE.. It would also be cool if it came with Cains journal, with all his entries and monster sketches. (Art book consists of digital art and stuff so it will be different to cains journal.)
Flash disk of the past 2 games are good as well.. but then again, you can just download it so yeah, waste of material.
Everything else is just trash to me. wow pets, blah blah.. stupid.

I would personally wear a shirt, but feel it would be a pain to have sizes. And for the flash drive, it's a complete novelty, it's cool, and the past 2 games being in it is just another idea.
Yea, i understand what you are saying, which is why i guess i made that comment. Although it is a little bit of fluff, but it adds up. Especially the amount of copies they will sell.
Forgive me if i seem a bit hippy, but anything that is somewhat useless should not add to the worlds trash problem etc.
What really makes a collectors edition doesnt include adding little "fluffs" to make it seem "collectable". Heck, i bought starcraft SE and it came with a stupid notepad. Ok, im sure some people used it purely for the fact that they got it, but seriously, how much paper was wasted.
So back to the question, what will make a great CE, are things thats is actually a collectable or have value and not become just another toy from a happy meal.
An art book is good because it consist of all the hard work and background stuff of the game. You will never throw or forget that.
Cain journal, as i said before. It will be a good idea because a lot of Diablo is based on his journal (i think). It is something you will never throw away, and it is definitely a collectable.
Even if the installation CD is a totally different design to the SE will become a collectable and will not be wasted. Imagine the installation CD is golden or something.
I dunno, i hope you get what i mean, i dont want to come off as a negative person, but these days a lot of the collectors edition are packed with useless crap.
I see why you're being hippy, and I know you don't mean to overdo it. But I think to any true fan, that notepad that game in SC2 SE (I got SE since I'm not too big of a SC fan, but still like it) I'm keeping the notepad. For any huge fan of Diablo, anything would be collectable. And I don't know if you've gotten any Blizzard CE games, but they usually have actual collectables, like well made model figures... (Want an example search Diablo 3 overlord mode figure, it isn't coming with CE [From what I know], but I expect something like that.

Knowing that pretty much 99% of the people here are going to get the
collectors edition, me included, i was wondering, what are you guys
excpecting to get there?
ScII featured an artbook, which i would LOVE to see, i also think
that an ingame-treat, and a USB version of D1-2-lod is in place...
and maybe, like, a soulstone!

Be original. The cube is a thing of the past. I remember back in the day when I was young and first discovered the cube... IT WAS INCREDIBLE. It was the best invention since canned corn. But that thing is like 10 years old now. Just like the people who invented canned corn moved on to invent corn on the cob, Blizzard has developed new things as well.
Perhaps they could give us a life sized Talisman, that would be better than the cube.

Mmkay, I've seen it, and replyed already (if you haven't noticed). Well, pretty interesting. Although my hopes are the same, but it's probably not gonna happen... I wish that we could get an idea of D3 release, but unless D3's gonna release 2-4 months after Blizzcon, I doubt we'll hear any news on release, except the obvious Soon™.

Guys, Before you start getting angry - I think they were planning on this the whole time... I think they're trying to say they're in the polishing area now, but didn't come out right. Blizzard always has their plans, and don't forget their motto, "When it's done.". We wont have a half assed game, I think they wanted this to give the idea to players that they're still playing Diablo, since they changed quite a bit. And remember what they did with D2, made short ass act 4, but the expansion had the largest act of all (as long as you didn't rush to baal...). I think we should be more happy about this rather than angry.
