I appreciate the effort. But your list is visually disturbing. Thus the lack of reading it. I cant get past first sentence. Im not trying to be rude either, im wicked interested in what this next game will be about. There has got to be a way to make it easier to peruse rather that all out reading in full detail. Maybe some bold. I dunno. Ima try reading the whole thing again.

Id say an enhance d2. More like 2.75d if it makes sense. A little more open world like. Less travel constraints. Ability to rotate veiw. use of wasd for movement. me personally, I cant stand the click to move. I alway overshoot and move character into harms way. its cause for multiple deaths.

id like to see actual hills and plains, walkin through water and lakes. less copy and change colors on creatures, more different ones. your guy should be able to jump into fatal trouble, ie a cliff or water too deep. anyway gonna go play d2.

Its obvious to me, you, and probably 80% of Diablo demographic...but 99.9999 % of us are not on the development team, part of vivendi, or on the corprate decision making level. Thats unfortunate...because Id say they have no clue. As far as some of them are concerned...you grow out of video games around 17. Some of them [a lot of them] feel no need at all for violence and gore in video games.

Im more worried because WOW could have been made a gory game. And, why not? Most of its players are 18-26. I know people that play it that are almost ten years older than that bracket. So...Im worried. Worried they will take out the blood. Take out all sorta good stuff.

On side note. I think inventory should be almost unlimited. Not totally. But, they should add a unique item...a chest. One that the dude can bring back to camp and use for storage. People will just mule less. I got a few mules now. One time I tried muling some loot. Good unique items. And my game dissappeared. I was devestated.

Saying that d3 is going to get a T rating is stupid. Think, how old is the d3 demographic, they would have been old enough to buy a m rated game when d2 came out. And thats how blizzard is going to look at it, mature fan base = MORE GORE! duh...

You know 3d is comming. Along with a rating T-for TEEN. Another lame thing is pay to play. Although ill pay if its rated AU, M and I dont disconnect AT ALL. No, I dont want full blown AU...You know what I mean.

If its 3d, T, or Pay to play and not M or above I wont buy or play. Period.

3d is sort of the least of my concerns. They can make it 3d and still have 3rd person overlay view. What concerns me most is the audience they are targeting and how much it cost to play.

Absolutely agreed. A little 3D or even a good amount is OK, as long as it doesn't take away from the Diablo feel.

Actually, after I looked it up, his sentence doesn't make any sense, either that, or he was complimenting my idea, which doesn't make sense because he was telling me how dumb I was in the entirity of his speech.

    Here it is:

1.full of, characterized by, or ministering to indulgence in luxury, pleasure, and sensuous enjoyment: a voluptuous life. 2.derived from gratification of the senses: voluptuous pleasure. 3.directed toward or concerned with sensuous enjoyment or sensual pleasure: voluptuous desires. 4.sensuously pleasing or delightful: voluptuous beauty.

then the items would be common, not "unique" right? I dont like that idea at all. Nothing better than fishing for items throughout realms. And why level 30, not 20, 15...makes no sense. Sure youshould be able to buy more, but you wont be happy until most powerful weap is always sitting in camp to be picked up at beginging of ev game. People who want to ad ideas are all great...but thank god people like you who want to make the game beatable by a two year old are not on development team. Sorry to be blunt and squish your vuluptuous idea.
    Quote from "CheesyPickle" »
    For the new items idea...

After about level 30, the items you buy off of the vendors (weapons and armor) are never purchased because they are too expensive and by that time all uniques are better than them. Simply replace them with uniques, and have those "white" items be dropped off of monsters in game, instead of sitting uselessly in some NPC's shop. (Gheed's gambling was a nice idea, maybe incorporate that into the game, but more in depth)

Another idea for chars like druid. Is a graphical enhancement comensurate with level of what your using. Like the bear. It would start off looking like the bear...and as you put skill points it looks more diesal so to speak. You mercinary should be a full blown character, and graphs should change like main chars do with diff weaps and armor. But with the blizzard the druid has, things like that need to look more and more feirce as you add skill to it. Also, to avoid totaly getting screwed by immunities...blizzard, armageadon...should all have phyical and elemental damage. Can you tell I use the druid. Most dissapointing thing about druid is not being able to use all elemental skills while shapeshifted. Your either a elemental or ss...no inbetween. I guess...what ev. In general, when at a shop, you should have your inventory brought up, and the contents to the horadric cube [if something equivelent is in d3] all at once. It gets reall annoying to constantly have to close, and open screense to arrange items to make room and scrap them. There is only rain, there should be all types of weather...and it should be generated dynamicly. Whatever that means. Even meteor showers. Most weather should do dmg. To everything. Here is another idea. With better AI this could be achieved. Placement of things like the bear has gotten so annoying that I constantly respawn him to get him where I want. You should be able to quickly assign what minion you want it to attack, once it kills that it could either be reassigned or just go as it usually does. I think the game would have to be slowed down a little bit for that to occure. Id also like to use wasd to move my guy. Im sick of clicking the mouse and having character overshoot where I want him and get tooled on. Environmental damage is a must. Walls should break...like if you know a creature back into it...should do some wall damage. If druid uses elemental, or sorc lg, it should cause a ruckus. Burn the tree down, freeze it...make it explode and so forth. The druids volcaneos should permenently alter the landscape. And the blood and gorey bodies should remain. More blood and gore. If blizzard goes for "T-FOR teen" with this it will make me puke. And I wont play it no matter what. They also need to make it so you dont disconnect from servers. Most other online games have achieved this, so should diablo. I have been constantly complainging about battlenet not being stable enough for d2lod. In day and age of mucho bandwidth there is no exscuse...except for being rediculously cheap. Wich brings me to my next point. Three ways to play. Offline free, online one time LIFE subscription, or annual subscription. I dont care, whatever It takes to avoid downtime and disconnections. Thats all I can think of now.

no no no. you guys want them to put more in the game and take out all the things that make it hard. why not just click the mouse once and watch your character auto play and win in all diff levels without dying once. lol. the immunities are there to balance the growing strength of the characters. its just something you find out the first time you play it...and plan ahead [god forbid] with your second character. cause who just plays and beats it once???

Id say sometime after they release the WOW expansion. Burning crusifix or something like that.

Thats to come out before the holiday season [wouldnt want to offend]. I wont speculate on game shows. But, it will be announced before this years E3, probably be a beta for E3 and we will see it for next years holiday season.

Anything later than that...well...Id just hate to think of anything longer than that.

Though its unannounced, ask yourselves...had Blizz been working on it...and for how long. They mostlikely been working on D3 for over a year. The origianal team started right away on it. So, I doubt its collected any dust.

Main question is ...will it be lame. Will it have the M rating, and will it live up to our expectations. I have read some lonng lists too. So I dont know. Hopefully they will keep a good story, 2.5 D and a few more characters. Oh yea, the M rating is manditory. I wont even look at it otherwise.

I like a lot of it, and some of it make me wanna puke. Thank god some of you are not on the D3 team.

Dont get me wrong, as im just being blunt. Main thing I cannot disaggree with more is Light/Dark contrast.

That seems to be the new buzz in games. It happened in metroid. ETC. It also makes in more of a MMORPG. And less of a storyline type game. I mean, if you pick an evil class and beat the game, then evil wins. And visa versa. Otherwise it makes no sense, I mean use an evil class to...ward of evil?

One thing I did not see mentioned was the game rating. I think Blizzard is shooting T-for teen with this one. This cannot happen. I dont know about you, but with better graphics we can get more detailed bloodshed. Like the bear in druid should be able to take off heads in one swipe occasionaly [and then maul them for life]. This means we have to keep it M-for mature.

Honestly, I wont buy it otherwise. Main reason I wont by WOW...among others.

Blizz has to keep in mind its diablo fans are [some of them] reaching their thirties...they can handle a violent game.

One thing I am in favor of is the 2.5 D overlay and the destructable environment. Each act should be more "open world based". Seasons, plant growth. Some awsome ideas about a treeworld. Hopefully they wont bottleneck.

LASTLY WILL BLIZZ JUST PLEASE AT LEAST CONFIRM IT!

For those with monster Harddrives....a demo recorder would be nice. But its take a lotta space unless they figure another way out.

    Quote from "rocet77" »
The best thing is for them to surprise us and just blow our minds away. I still think they should continue on the story from Diablo 1 and 2 into 3 and just make it bigger, nicer with more stuff and lots of replay value. Alot of playable characters with lots of different skills would be great too.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO MAKE SURE GAME-PLAY IS BETTER!

First and formost would be a graphical improvement. A serious one.

*A longer game with more acts. Though, i'd still like to stick with one story line.
I say longer game becaue LOD just seems toooo short.

*New character classes. How many, id say make a total of ten. That might be too much. No light and dark contrast either.

*Skill development change. Depending on how you fight, skill should automatically go into what you do most, along with selection when you are awarded a skill point and stats.

*Detailed change from daytime to nightime. Detailed weather and seasons.

*A more destructable environment. I wanna say plant growth, but we wont see
    it.

*I usually use a druid. When casting blizzard, they could actualy make it look like a blizzard.

*Speaking of the druid. I dont use shapshifting for one reason. He cant cast spells while shapshifted. Thats something that he needs to be able to do, and it can be balanced.

*AUTOCAST. What I mean by this is when the carrion vine, or heart of wolvirine get killed, or other characters stuff, should be able to set it to auto cast when the druid in my case automatically recasts it.

The problem with this is pretty easy to see...you pick a volcaneo then all sudden it autocasts and switches on you...your screwed in wrong situation. Gotta be a way to work that out...to limit the redundancy of casting same things over and over.

*As far as storyline. Your guess is as good as mine. It would be lame to just make some changes and replay the same game, so I dont think all bosses will come back to life.

Id also say decard caine is prime suspect for bringing back evil. Seeing as how they let him live. At any rate, they are gonna have to figure a way to raise diablo. Maybe not even tie it in to D2, I dont know.

***One last thing. When you die. And you retrieve you body...gotta make it so you belt restocks itself with potions. I know there are some problems with that. But there is nothing worst than getting body back and dying while trying to stock your belt.

***Okay last one, more realistic terrain...More open world style for each act.
