Oct 28, 2006jpbc99 posted a message on Biggest Diablo 3 Information Yet!Im a bit worried. About the rating. Its a must for M. Its not true about sales. There are just as many older gamers if not more than the younger ones. Games are targeted to an audience. They woould sell less if they rated it T.Posted in: News

Oct 19, 2006jpbc99 posted a message on The Final Diablo 3 is Coming argumentThe definatly didnt fire them cause they wanted to make d3 like hellgate. The north crew kinda thought of hellgate after the fact.Posted in: News
It was a stupid reason im sure. Some high up fuck probably took an off hours tour of the studioe and cought some one misbehaving.
They were mortified. They took action. -
Oct 14, 2006jpbc99 posted a message on The Final Diablo 3 is Coming argumentI told you people Blizzard is going lame. T, MMO, and what else...Pay to PLAY.Posted in: News
I know when they cooked the North crew they fried any chances of making diablo 3 a diablo game. They going full 3d now.
The North crew got fired because the game they were working on "just wasnt fun to play". I bet my life savings it was most fans expectations and then some.
But, it wasnt mmo so vivendi handed down the wrath of corprate decision making. No M now either. -

id like to see actual hills and plains, walkin through water and lakes. less copy and change colors on creatures, more different ones. your guy should be able to jump into fatal trouble, ie a cliff or water too deep. anyway gonna go play d2.

Im more worried because WOW could have been made a gory game. And, why not? Most of its players are 18-26. I know people that play it that are almost ten years older than that bracket. So...Im worried. Worried they will take out the blood. Take out all sorta good stuff.
On side note. I think inventory should be almost unlimited. Not totally. But, they should add a unique item...a chest. One that the dude can bring back to camp and use for storage. People will just mule less. I got a few mules now. One time I tried muling some loot. Good unique items. And my game dissappeared. I was devestated.

If its 3d, T, or Pay to play and not M or above I wont buy or play. Period.
3d is sort of the least of my concerns. They can make it 3d and still have 3rd person overlay view. What concerns me most is the audience they are targeting and how much it cost to play.

Thats to come out before the holiday season [wouldnt want to offend]. I wont speculate on game shows. But, it will be announced before this years E3, probably be a beta for E3 and we will see it for next years holiday season.
Anything later than that...well...Id just hate to think of anything longer than that.
Though its unannounced, ask yourselves...had Blizz been working on it...and for how long. They mostlikely been working on D3 for over a year. The origianal team started right away on it. So, I doubt its collected any dust.
Main question is ...will it be lame. Will it have the M rating, and will it live up to our expectations. I have read some lonng lists too. So I dont know. Hopefully they will keep a good story, 2.5 D and a few more characters. Oh yea, the M rating is manditory. I wont even look at it otherwise.

Dont get me wrong, as im just being blunt. Main thing I cannot disaggree with more is Light/Dark contrast.
That seems to be the new buzz in games. It happened in metroid. ETC. It also makes in more of a MMORPG. And less of a storyline type game. I mean, if you pick an evil class and beat the game, then evil wins. And visa versa. Otherwise it makes no sense, I mean use an evil class to...ward of evil?
One thing I did not see mentioned was the game rating. I think Blizzard is shooting T-for teen with this one. This cannot happen. I dont know about you, but with better graphics we can get more detailed bloodshed. Like the bear in druid should be able to take off heads in one swipe occasionaly [and then maul them for life]. This means we have to keep it M-for mature.
Honestly, I wont buy it otherwise. Main reason I wont by WOW...among others.
Blizz has to keep in mind its diablo fans are [some of them] reaching their thirties...they can handle a violent game.
One thing I am in favor of is the 2.5 D overlay and the destructable environment. Each act should be more "open world based". Seasons, plant growth. Some awsome ideas about a treeworld. Hopefully they wont bottleneck.
LASTLY WILL BLIZZ JUST PLEASE AT LEAST CONFIRM IT!

*A longer game with more acts. Though, i'd still like to stick with one story line.
I say longer game becaue LOD just seems toooo short.
*New character classes. How many, id say make a total of ten. That might be too much. No light and dark contrast either.
*Skill development change. Depending on how you fight, skill should automatically go into what you do most, along with selection when you are awarded a skill point and stats.
*Detailed change from daytime to nightime. Detailed weather and seasons.
*A more destructable environment. I wanna say plant growth, but we wont see
it.
*I usually use a druid. When casting blizzard, they could actualy make it look like a blizzard.
*Speaking of the druid. I dont use shapshifting for one reason. He cant cast spells while shapshifted. Thats something that he needs to be able to do, and it can be balanced.
*AUTOCAST. What I mean by this is when the carrion vine, or heart of wolvirine get killed, or other characters stuff, should be able to set it to auto cast when the druid in my case automatically recasts it.
The problem with this is pretty easy to see...you pick a volcaneo then all sudden it autocasts and switches on you...your screwed in wrong situation. Gotta be a way to work that out...to limit the redundancy of casting same things over and over.
*As far as storyline. Your guess is as good as mine. It would be lame to just make some changes and replay the same game, so I dont think all bosses will come back to life.
Id also say decard caine is prime suspect for bringing back evil. Seeing as how they let him live. At any rate, they are gonna have to figure a way to raise diablo. Maybe not even tie it in to D2, I dont know.
***One last thing. When you die. And you retrieve you body...gotta make it so you belt restocks itself with potions. I know there are some problems with that. But there is nothing worst than getting body back and dying while trying to stock your belt.
***Okay last one, more realistic terrain...More open world style for each act.
