Spore was one of the most disappointing games ever made...
Sims is okay but wears its welcome out too, unless you're really really into that kind of stuff.

Quote from "Zyon" »i agree, to most ppl a f2p mmorpg with cash shop and other pay features is more appealing than the monthly subscription of wat wow offers
1. more spare time, if u subscribe to wow, for say 2 months, most likely u'd want to make best use of the 2 months by playin nonstop so u squeeze every bit of juice out of the buck u paid for, leading to: parents yellin, reduced schoolwork quality, reduced reallife social
2. 'u may pay' is always better than 'u must pay'
ps: wat u guys think the next mmorpg will b? i vote on 'World of Starcraft' lmfao

Quote from "Phrayed" »What are you talking about?
I'm the one arguing that it is a fantasy game... That you SHOULD be able to kill Diablo with all of these crazy skills and spells that are in the game.
Diablo isn't a realistic game. His original point was that Diablo looks like a 'pussy' when he dies to martial arts or toads... And I simply do not see why that is the case, which is why I am questioning his complaining about the monk and his skill set.
Quote from "Phrayed" »I'm simply trying to debate what you are saying... Because it makes no sense.
You like Diablo 2, you can kill Diablo in that game by summoning wolves... Does that really seem like Diablo is a 'pussy' if he cannot kill some wolves? And you can kill him with martial arts as well... There are several skills I named that seem like it make the Prime Evils look weak for not being able to overcome them.
Yet now that very similar things are in Diablo 3, you don't like it. Seems hypocritical to me, like you are just looking for something to complain about.

That's too boring, when you already have the monk..

You're missing the point. Stats are just as useful to look at even if they are only supplied by gear. You want to know what the total strength from all the gear you're wearing is, and you want to know the effect of it on your damage output when you hover over the stat (or in a second box under it). It's that simple.

When is it scheduled to release?

World of Farmville?

True, but this is the kind of structure the forum will need around the time of DIII release/future large DIII-related announcements.
So, they are just doing it ahead of time.
It'll fill up eventually.

By technology and specs (if the rumored gt300 info is to be trusted) ati is slightly ahead in this salvo of the graphics card war.
Yes but don't expect to get decent frames at native resolution while playing any modern games.. you'll have to go down to 1280x1024 to get decent performance. That or 1680x1050 on Low settings, which isn't worth it.

I really have no idea what they're gonna come up with for a new IP, but I'm sure it'll catch us all by surprise, unless it's Lost Vikings.

Did you play on Blackwing Lair by chance?
@OP, thanks for sharing your demo criticisms, good read. No real concern here though, Blizzard has said everything in the demo was made easier or buffed for more fluid gameplay. Also, the skills they provided some of the classes with weren't the most fun to mess around with, and just plain limited in some cases.

So much for your beta. Did you seriously expect one this early?
I tend to alternate between periods of melee and caster preferences in the games that I play. With the last one being a caster in WoW before I quit, my next one will be a melee class.
Between barbarian and monk, I'm leaning towards monk because most of my Diablo II playtime was taken up by my 99 whirlwind barb.
Depending on how cool the 5th class is and how much it deviates from the standard ranged class formula (the more different/unusual, the better), I may or may not play it first.

is my preferred form of meditation.

You have some serious issues, dude.
