Looks great Kamrad. I would be OK with downloading an updated map if needed. Thanks for the hard work.

When you say 'truly going to dedicate time to this game.' What kind of time are we talking?

Does anyone think they may implement stat boosts with these bag like you see on specific WOW bags? It maybe another way that may arise for character customization.

    Quote from name="-Mephisto"s Lament-" »
I honestly consider any celebrity hand out a fucking joke. If a person wants to truly help someone, he would do so without expecting anything in return, ESPECIALLY publicity about what he has done. Sure, help an AIDS center, just don't fill the magazines up with news about it.

Chances are, that anyone with television to view such an ad already knows about the problem. No one needs an ad to encourage him to commit a humane action. All that these ads do is boost the actress' fame, and give her more money to spend on her mink coat. Even if she's doing it for free, she's still doing it for a selfish cause, even if subconsciously so.

Domestic violence is encouraged by a lot of Hollywood movies, or Hollywood encouraged ideals. So instead of getting Hollywood actors to act out such idiotic ads and donate 0.1% of their stupendous wealth, get them to not act in such idiotic movies to begin with.

If I am reading you right you must think all celebrities are a joke. All celebrities give their hand-outs. It may not always be about the publicity but for those that aren't doing it for the publicity they are likely doing it for the tax break much like any other rich person (refering to USA anyway).

posted a message on How Long Is Too Long For Game Development?
    Quote from "Doppelganger" »
To me its about preparation and having a clear goal and design document, the actual development shouldn't take longer then 5 years, in fact i thinks its a very long time for a game to be in development, something which i doubt doesn't affect the quality of the end product negatively.

I think that I read somewhere that the initial D3 design was scrapped and reworked to what we are seeing now. I do not have a reference for this but if it is the case we should keep that in mind for the length of time they have been developing this next installment.

I think that it is reasonable for a large company to release a new game every 4-5 years. People have complained already that there are WOW aspects to what they have seen in D3. If you start pushing a company (as large as Blizzard or not) to produce titles every year or two you will see a sharp decline in quality and a lot of reuse of UI. Creativity takes some time. It shows in any television show. They get caught in a generic plot scheme and each episode in it generalized plot is the same. After some time passes and the writers take time to get creative, a pearl of an episode emerges. Those are the episodes fans love because it breaks the mold from what they have seen week after week. This pearl is what Blizzard tries to achieve with each new game. 4-5 years seems reasonable for it.
