I like forums. That is why I stated my opinion on a Diablo 3 matter in my previous post. There is no need for you to respond to my opinion just because you do not happen to agree with it silly.

Perhaps an option where if a player decides to join the game, a message is sent to the game host stating the player's name and then the host can allow or deny access.

I don't think you should worry about ping lag too much in Diablo 3. Blizzard has always done a good job of accounting for players not located physically close to the actual blizzard server. I live in Sydney and played WoW for years with a basic ADSL connection and lag almost never interfered or cause me a disadvantage in respect to the Americans I was playing with. Basically what DarkMagicc is saying is true and I doubt that when you and your European friend play together you will experience lag that will make the game tedious or unplayable.
