posted a message on Bashiok on "Barbarian Fury" and "Gore" in Diablo 3
I know you guys do not like Wow Ideas being transported to DIII. But rage as it was known in WoW was by far the best energy system of all classes in WoW and it would be a waste not to sort of transport it to DIII like they are doing with Fury. Its much better than Mana for a Melee class, you are going to like it, trust me.

Anti-Aliasing will definitely be an option in Diablo 3. There would be no reason to leave it out. Also onlive is not a realistic possibility for decades as far as I can see.

I agree with what you say about the indoor areas needing a little bit of work and the outdoor areas looking awesome already as is. I hope to see a Snowy level/act/region. Just something about blood being spilled on white. I am also hoping to see a moist/humid jungle like act similar to Act 3 in Diablo II. I know for a lot of people it was their least favorite act but I quite liked it.

This is the typical ignorant fanboy attitude that brougth HGL to its knees.
We are not here to preach dogmas, but to discuss and convince.
Not listening to a considerable amount of the current D2 player base might not be the wisest idea for Blizz.

So, if you dont like the concept of forums - go play videogames. ;)

I like forums. That is why I stated my opinion on a Diablo 3 matter in my previous post. There is no need for you to respond to my opinion just because you do not happen to agree with it silly.

Four players max is perfect I reckon. If you don't like it go play an MMO.

I like the idea of changing game details while in game. Say you create a private game for 2 players. Your friend joins and then you make it public and make it a 4 player game.

Reserving slots for friends wouldnt work because how could the game know which friend you are reserving the spot for?

Perhaps an option where if a player decides to join the game, a message is sent to the game host stating the player's name and then the host can allow or deny access.

Not sure why people speculate and get so worked up over things like this when the game has not been released. Its not as if Blizzard are going to release the game with the wizard being mana thirsty throughout every act.

They already stay for a long time now. Check out the recent vids from the archivist class, the lorenado killed one at beginning and corpses stayed for whole 30s clip and the entire time they were getting dragged around by the lorenados

    Good point, this is encouraging.

I know they addressed this already since people mentioned it after the gameplay demo was show. I'm pretty sure Bashiok or Jay or one of them said that they were going to make it so the models stay longer. I guess a part of that had to do with keeping specs low.

    Ahh...here

Ah Cool, Thanks for the heads up.

I'm hoping that the blood, gore and bones hangs around the ground for longer than is shown in the game play videos. The fact that it dissapears after a few seconds is lame. That is my sole complaint so far, liking everything else combat wise. Edit: Also lol @ a few months ago when people were paranoid about whether Diablo III was going to have a Teen Rating or not.

Me and a new diablo friend, thanks to diablofans were just talking about connecting continents and countries across long distances.

I'm in America and he is in Europe, willl Blizzard, or better yet b- net give us a hard time to connect without lag??

Is there any news of making an big server where people can play across distances.

I don't think you should worry about ping lag too much in Diablo 3. Blizzard has always done a good job of accounting for players not located physically close to the actual blizzard server. I live in Sydney and played WoW for years with a basic ADSL connection and lag almost never interfered or cause me a disadvantage in respect to the Americans I was playing with. Basically what DarkMagicc is saying is true and I doubt that when you and your European friend play together you will experience lag that will make the game tedious or unplayable.

Would strongly recommend the Asus linked below. I find 15.4" to be the right balance between screen size and convenience. Graphics card is great and it has received positive reviews. Not sure whether or not it is in your price range or not. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220483

posted a message on How will you play DIII?
    Quote from "Archie" »
This is pretty close to how I'll do it.

Once I buy it, I will read the book on the way home from the store. Then pop in the disc, and finish reading what I didn't get the chance to on the drive, while it installs. Most likely I'll be playing as the Witchdoctor, since he is the closest to the Necro, unless one of the last two classes happen to be something really sweet and incredibly original in style and gameplay.

I will start up a passworded game, and play for about 72 hours straight (I'm going to take some vacation time for this), except for bathroom breaks and food breaks, and sleep if I deem it necessary. I will play through normal fairly slow, trying to experience every little bit, I won't skip a single word of dialogue, I will read every single tome. Once normal is done, I will probably rush through Nightmare as quickly as I can, stocking up on as many good items as I can. If necessary, I will start up a couple other characters just so they can store the items that are meant for that class.

My skill selection will be dictated by what looks the coolest and appears most powerful, although, I will put one point into every single skill at some time, just so I can see what they all do. If it is on my first character, I don't know.

After all of that? Well,... lets just say I probably won't be able to keep a girlfriend. :D

Driving while reading the book? That's dedicated, just don't crash padre.

posted a message on Fan-made Warcraft 3 / Diablo 3 game. Diablocraft III?
    Quote from "sabreSKULL" »
Well, first of all, the game's graphics can be recreated in a WarCraft game, which just goes to show that the graphics are somewhat WarCraft-based. Notice I said somewhat, not wholly. And second, the huge enemies and outlandish boss entries that WarCraft has are set into Diablo 3. It might just be me, but I believe that Diablo 3 owes a lot of credit to WarCraft towards game design...but I highly doubt I'm wrong. Anyway, as for the gameplay, it's perfect. Just like Diablo 3 should be; a Hack n' Slash type game. Now keep in mind, I don't mind that it's turning out this way, I'm just proving a point. Although, I am a bit mad that some concepts were implemented into it. Oh well.

Edit: Also, I can tell that the Diablo 3 Team is trying hard to make the feel of the game seem more Diablo...an example would be the statues at the end of the staircases. They were once deformed-looking griffins of some kind, but are now demon heads. A brilliant improvement, in my opinion. I really hope I see more of these kinds of improvements in the future.
I really don't think the fact that you can skin reasonable interpretations of the three Diablo characters skins into Warcraft III has any great relevance in the "Diablo looks like Warcraft" debate. I'm sure the creator of the mod could skin just about any characters from any game and they would be recognizable to most.
