Yes they did. An older Janeway helped them with a type of new armor for the ship. So they went through a borg matrix, and ended up inside a borg sphere. The gateway went inside of federation space, so about 50 ships from the federation were waiting. Expecting an invasion. When the borg sphere came out of the hole, it got destroyed by voyager. That was the last episode I believe.

    Thanks, Stonebreaker!
I'll have to check it out on DVD.

That they were all alone in the Delta Quadrant, and all these new species around them that could destroy them. I just dont think the Intrepid class was that strong. Maybe if it was a sovereign or galaxy class. I just think that it would get destroyed faster than the others.

    Could be.

But if I remember correctly, Voyager was the first Intrepid-class ship to be commissioned. The Intrepids were equipped with new types of systems, and all of the kinks hadn't been worked-out before they sent it on its first mission.
And ending up in the Delta Quadrant (which was thousands of light-years from Alpha Quadrant, and Earth) wasn't part of the mission plan -- they were thrown there, unexpectedly -- so the crew had to do the best they could with a brand new, untested ship and no one to help.

By the way, did they ever make it back home? I missed the last couple of seasons.

I really liked the voyager series. It was a different twist of the rest of them. They are in a different quadrant. Not like all the other ones, and they are a crappy type of class. Who would want an Intrepid (I can not remember what it is called right now.) all by themselves with different species.

You got it, dude -- Intrepid-class is correct. But why do you think it was a crappy class?

And I'm not sure what you are trying to say with "all by themselves with different species."
Are you talking about the crew? Or that Voyager was all alone in the Delta Quadrant?

    Youthful exuberance.

While I was never fond of Voyager, I happen to think Janeway was a pretty kick ass captain. She didn't take crap fron anyone and she was actually pretty strict when it came to protocol yet she also could be very personable and sincere.

Much agreed. Also, it was cool finally having a female captain as a lead character.

Favorite captain for me would be a tie between Picard and Kirk (though, I do think highly of all of the captains).

Kirk, simply because he's... well... Kirk. Growing up with him, almost right from the beginning of the series, on my TV screen since [my] Day 0 adds weight to that sentiment. He was THE Captain for 18 years until Picard came along.

    And Picard... Total class act.

Judge for yourselves, but that looks like the picture in the middle of the banner to me.

    So...that's solved I think.

Why did they say the website might crash then?

Sheer influx of people wanting to see what the announcement will be.

And as to a previous question, Paul Sams said at Blizzcon '07 that they have no plans to port Diablo II to console.

They don't show up with a search, and I've got my options set to "show all threads"...
    (they're the only two I can't find.)

    Thanks.

Not you must ask yourself...what will cause the sanctuary to shake...

A patch introducing the Diablotini potion.

A martini made, not with olives, but with habanero chiles (for that hotter-than-Hell taste -- guaranteed to put a little kick in your step... if it doesn't kill you), done in the 007 style -- shaken, not stirred.

If you reach 100 posts you can join our official guild S.I.C.K. Silver Inferno Crusading Knights.

    I did not know that.

Is that the only requirement? Do you need to be possessed of a certain level of game-skill?
I don't have a great deal of multi-player experience (none with D2), so I know I'd be smoked by most of you.

I didn't "ignite a flame war". I simply warned her that Americans, on average, do not like the French. Otc attacked me for pointing that out. I asked him to prove me wrong and he refused.

I don't think it's wrong to warn someone about something that is relatively common on average.

Also, its singling me out if you say LINKX DID THIS in a thread, not in a PM.

I was referring to the argument as a whole. Again, not singling you out. It takes more than one person to engage in a flame-fest.

I highly doubt Vinyamar really and truly needed someone to point out that some Americans have a less-than-complimentary opinion about the French.
I'm sure she's an intelligent girl, and is well aware of that.

And you're intelligent enough to know that making such a statement was bound to raise someone's hackles, so why even go there?
When OTC responded to your warning, shouldn't you have done the exact same thing you're telling me to do, and respond to him via PM, instead of dragging it out in front of a new member, in her own thread?
It's off-putting to new members, and sets a bad example, which, as I said, defeats your purpose of trying to hold on to those new people.

And I'm not even singling this one instance out; another reason for starting this thread -- it's more wide-spread than in Vinyamar's thread. A few people jumped on someone in my introductory thread, and I'm sure it's happened plenty of other times in other threads in this forum.
