posted a message on Yahoo talks about the art change petition
I think people are a bit too whiny about the art thing. We haven't even been shown a definite sample of all the game's locations, so I'm not sure how one could make a judgment just yet. Personally, I liked what I saw, particularly the painting-looking trees in Leoric Highlands, so I signed the 'keep the art plz blizz' petition.

posted a message on Trag'Oul How will it
I'm not sure precisely of what Trang'Oul is, but from what I gather he's a personification of Sanctuary and existence itself, and infinitely more powerful than any angel or demon. He's sort of like an impersonal God, or Godhead--a 'God in all things' sort of concept. From what I gather, though, he has the capacity to project himself as a material being, so maybe he's more personal than one's led to imagine. His avatar is supposedly Archangel Ithrael.

I dunno, that seems sort of subjective to me. Bone necro I guess, personally.

posted a message on Choosing character names: Player discretion or Blizzard's?
I'd prefer if there wasn't any censorship in regard to names. Personally I use RP names, but if you want to be xxSePhIrOtH95xx, that's fine with me; I'll do my best to PK you.

posted a message on So... the other 3 classes?
For the classes, I'd figure all the archetypes would need to be covered, which would roughly be melee, caster, and ranged physical. That would leave two classes open for new stuff, which I'd imagine one to be an alternative/summoning caster, and the other to be an alternative melee fighter.

As the barbarian is returning from D2, I'd think at least one other class would come back as well. As amazons and sorceresses are both from female-only societies, I believe that rules them out. The necromancer is out of the picture, as blizzard has sworn to make skills different, and the witch doctor has many old necro skills. That leaves druid, assassin, and paladin as potential returning classes.

Personally, I'd venture to guess the other returning class would be the paladin. It's an old favorite, and was a class in the original D2 (meaning not an expansion class). Also, along with the witch doctor, it covers the (our silly politically correct society requires it) much needed black guy.

So my estimate would be the following:
    1. Barbarian (returning class - melee fighter)
    2. Witch Doctor (new class - alternative caster/summoner)
    3. Paladin (returning - alternative fighter)
    4. Sorcerer (new - I'd guess a member of the vijerei clan of mages)
    5. Archer (something entirely new - I'd be really surprised if the 'archer' role wasn't covered, as there'd be little need for ranged weapons without them. the new archer couldn't be a sister of the sightless eye, or an amazon, as both are female-only groups, so this would be something completely unseen up til D3.)

posted a message on Gamestop Rumors
This happens with most gaming stores. Gamestop hasn't been supplied a release date (as it's blizzard); they've just made a shot in the dark to supply consumers with an answer when they ask.

posted a message on Blizz changed the D3 introduction!
The 'falling luminaries' bit in the original implied there may have been multiple angels falling from heaven. I think 'fiery harbinger of doom' is much more clear, meaning only one angel has been cast out of heaven, and my guess would be Imperius.

The general synopsis of the cinematic teaser is that a comet--carrying Imperius--crashes in Tristram cathedral. There, the angel gets into an altercation with Deckard Cain and Leah. Knowing Cain's capacity to escape death all the time, I imagine Imperius might kidnap Cain, and that may (indirectly, possibly) lead to Cain's being underneath Tristram (a la the gameplay video).

Imperius, from what I understand, is a bigoted, violent angel, who hates both humans and demons. I can't imagine him allying with any demon to combat humans, so I'm not sure what his plan might be, unless he took a faction of angels with him when he descended.

Of course this is all speculation, and I'm sure there are infinite alternatives to how this might play out.

For instance the harbinger of doom might just be a messenger, Tyrael perhaps, simply warning Cain of the impending attack by hell, or possibly the attack by Imperius. I'm pining that Tyrael's not 'corrupted' like many of theorized--despite there being a lot of evidence this cliche may play out, considering Blizzard's track record (Kael'thas, Illidan), and the hint at the lore panel during WWI.
