well actualy the art style isnt likely to change as if you listen to pardo in the gamespot interview he said they played with the art styles for a while and this is about as good as its going to get, so are you telling me that if it stays at that level of gore/gothic ambience, that will be "the perfect diablo sequel" because i really dont think so
u need to stop crying about every little detail, just dont buy the game. honestly
Hello everyone. First post here for a long time lurker. The recent announcement of Diablo 3 has finally got me to sign up and post.
I'd like to just briefly post my positives about the recent announcement, gameplay footage, classes, etc. I've seen so much negativity on these forums that I felt compelled to post how much I think Blizzard has NAILED this game thus far. Graphics, gameplay, improvements, etc.
First off, the thing I liked the most was the updated graphics. Very detailed, destructible environments, weapon effects, etc. Spot on. Color does NOT mean a game can't be dark and gloomy. it makes things stand out more, it helps differentiate things in the environment, and actually gives the game diversity. if you go with all blacks, whites, grays, and reds.....you have one DRAB game. Heck, I'm still not sure what people are talking about when saying to make this look more like diablo 2. Diablo 2 was a VERY colorful game...especially when compared to Diablo.
Either way, I think it game looks outstanding in it's current state. We've seen a handful of levels, and I'm GLAD they seem to be extremely diverse. I'm SURE Blizzard will have some very creepy/dark dungeons, and that can easily happen with the graphics they have put in place.
Either way....I'm extremely pleased with the direction of this game. It can't get here soon enough. I know it's not going to please everyone, but I have faith it will retain all the great things that has kept the franchise afloat over the past decade. Heck, I may need to boot up D2 again to feed the hunger
I'm sorry but I just don't see anything Diablo about the D3 color scheme and style. It's just not Diablo no matter which way you spin it. I know the WoW fanboys will be happy and Blizzard will get their money, but they are raping the great style that defined the Diablo universe.
I hope rushing is not such a problem in Diablo 3. I hated being in Nightmare Difficulty Act III, trying to grind my way solo because there were no good parties running and then being slaughtered because somebody at level 5 joined and "made Diablo minions grow stronger"
"self-hype? if you think the out-door jungle in the 20min vid, is better than the jungles of kurast, go play http://www.hellokittyonline.com/us/"
lawl...the outdoor stage is pretty much the same as kurast except that it's a much more open area therefore there would be more light. quite whining that it's not gothic enough honestly.
