I dont mind a lush somewhat pretty outside area, especially if you can step down those stairs and find yourself suddenly in a dirty breeding pit of evil :P the game should have a darker feel but that doesnt mean every aspect should be "omg dark"

ok can someone give me a straight answer on this

    Individual loot means what exactly:

    1) When me and 3 other people in my party kill a boss, All 4 of us get the same loot drops that only the player can see and the option of picking up everything that drops?

    or

    2) When me and 3 other people in my party kill a boss, all 4 of us get seperate loots that drop on our screen that only the player can see and we get the option of picking everything up?

i hope its the 2nd one...because for example i would hate if in diablo2 my party kills andariel and we all get a pair of sigon boots out of it, if thats the case id rather have it FFA again.
boss drops a different set of items for everyone, and you can only see/pick up what your drops were so #2 is what it means

Or plays ranged squishy classes that don't stand next to bosses.
or pays more attention to killing baddies and their teammates then whats dropping on the floor. Problem with FFA is it is most rewarding to people who don't give a **** about their party or cooperation.

posted a message on Respecs: Yes or No
I support respecs but I think it should be either

    A) on a point by point basis, but expensive so you cant easily "overhaul" your character

    B) a rare item drop that removes 1 point which you can reallocate (maybe special boss ones that do 2, maybe.)

    C) maybe both

Basically I want there to be a way to move some points around to fix minor build errors, but to make it difficult to entirely overhaul a character, so if you want two different kinds of barbarian, they will need to be two seperate characters. However, if you only want to move a couple missallocated points, it can be done so simply

that was normal mode I assume, and normal mode in d2 was...well... "fall under my might weaklings!" nightmare made you think twice, hell made sure you were dead. It didn't look that different from your average diablo normal mode to me.

Edite: I mainly played d2 single player, so hell WAS hard

Cause its just not what Diablo has been about. Respeccing just takes away a lot of the game in my opinion.
I disagree, I would love respeccing however...

I do not want a "pay x gold and remove all your points!" its too extreme. I would prefer removing them on a point by point basis (actually kinda like TQ did but mayhaps make it more expensive) so if your only trying to change 2-3 points around its easy, if your trying to rehash your character you can empty your wallet and still maybe not have it fully redone. That way you dont have to relv your entire character for a couple skill points, but if you want to play an entirely different spec you will still probably want to lv a new char.

    Kill first, loot later. :P

I like individual, ffa was fun in its day but it really got too irritating, I like to focus on beating the **** out of hells minions rather than hugging the boss to carpel-tunnel-inducing-spam-click-fest to try get loot faster.

I agree D2 was very casual friendly, I could get on and play 30min-1hr then get off and do other things, and still reach hell mode, kill uber enemies, get awesome drops etc. Casual doesn't mean "ezmode lawl" it more means playable and progressable without having to spend lengthy sessions, which d2 very much was as was d1, and I expect d3 will be too. The game really is set up in a wonderful way taht it is not hard to cater to both casual gamers (aka: don't tend to play for extended periods of time in one sitting) and hardcore players just as d2 did so wonderfully.
