I'm happy to say I'm not on the ipad bandwagon.

Literally, the worst part of working in academia is all the mac fanatics.

Now that I think of it...I'm pretty sure one of my professors had an ipad forced upon her as well lol. Our faculty seem to be no different.
its easier to deal with if you arnt in CS or related fields. no need for all that raw processing power when all you need is acrobat, word and powerpoint.

british tourists are by far the worst. we come in your country, drink all your beer, eat all your food, and piss on your monuments, all while thinking our stuff is better anyways.

iPad2 ;) works for me and its around the same price as a top of the line e-reader.

I've never used an iPad. How difficult would you say they are to use?
easier than your smartphone. your dad should have no problem overcoming a learning curve.

its just something about diablo and journals...;)

LP might not be as good since the action is so fast paced and somewhat repetitive.

yeah, a lot of people on diablo related forums actually keep running diaries or journals of their experience. with some creative writing and nice pictures, it makes for a really nice tale! they usually make really quirky builds that no one would think could beat the game, in hell. like a naked thrower barb...:P

Greetings! I'm a Youtube scrub newbie Let's Player (basically someone who commentates on games) and one game I'm planning on doing is Diablo 2. However, I want to do something different. A friend and I used to play "live off the land" but different than what I have read what most people consider live off the land to be.

We always played this style in the essence of: you cannot go back to town. As I was thinking about doing this, I was trying to come up with some rules for this because I feel that just having this rule might not be entertaining. Here is what I think would work:

Play a Barbarian for find potion/item and would require me to stay in the thick of battle
Allow myself to visit town once per act and use repair services and turn in any quests, no buying of items
(I'm a little hazy on this part as I haven't played D2 in a few months) If an item breaks, I can't use it anymore. Must throw it away.

And that is where I dry up right now. I feel allowing myself to use repair services once per act would allow me to be able to keep some items and progress. (Side note, if an item breaks, does the game get rid of it or can you repair it? I haven't played D2 in awhile >.>) I would also allow myself to go back to town for certain quest requirements or maybe ease of life. Example: Kill radament and instead of going through the whole sewers, just make a TP and then walk out of town. Another would be going back to town to head towards the AS in act 2. During these moments I wouldn't use anything in town.

What do you think would be a good build if I did this? I was thinking a 1h/shield concentrate/berserk barb using all the warcries as effectively as possible.

If you have any suggestions or thoughts please let me know. You can find my Youtube channel here if you are interested. Thanks!
a couple of untwinked rules that you can consider:

only can go to town and talk to NPC's for quests
can talk to cain for IDs
no repairs, u must throw away the broken item, game doesnt delete it
    must get each wp
kill all monsters in your path
crafting is allowed (blood crafts are great for barbs)
using an uncommon build, like a passive/valk zon or a blade shield/master sin

merc is up to you, if you go with an uncommon build, the game might be too hard without a nice merc. otherwise, only use the merc that was gifted to you for quest completions, and no res of the merc.

    gl ;)

6-8 weeks is an awfully short period. Many accidental pregnancies aren't discovered before the fifth week and on women with irregular menstrual cycle a pregnancy can remain undetected until visible signs appear.
if you dont know youre pregnant or might be preggers by 6 weeks then as punishment you have to keep a baby.

Does anyone have any experience with those e-books things? You know 'kindles' or what not. The things where you buy a book in pdf form and read it on a nifty little portable screen type set up.

I'm thinking of getting my Dad one for Christmas.

i love harvest moon! the 64 edition is best imo.

ill check it out when i ave time

Thanks! I've only played the SNES one actually. I'm having fun replaying this version even if it is a bit repetitious. If you have OCD problems, you might hate looking at my farm...
oh dear lord, i have massive OCD when i make my farm. i move all the stones to the boarders to save for later, i cut all stumps, constantly weed, and always make the little C plots in a grid pattern.

im going to dig up my N64 when i get home this weekend lol~
