This actually reminds me a bit of Diablo 2 - combat-wise, anyway. Just a bit more button mashing.

props on making an entire article on a twitter of 2 words :D

Writing about an unreleased Blizzard game does give you a lot of practice with expanding on small pieces of information to create something readable I guess haha

posted a message on Blizzard Product Slate "Leak" Diablo 3 stuff!
    Quote from Jackzor

Titan isn't one of their first games, but the fact that "Titan" - which is probably referring to their rumored MMOFPS - is shown as coming out during the same quarter as a WoW xpac, and Blizzard having any game, especially an MMO, coming out during the same quarter as a WoW xpac is ridiculous. I call shenanigans. Until Blizzard confirms this as real or stuff on this list starts coming out, I'm assuming its fake.

Why wouldn't it come out at the same time if, as rumored, it's a console-based game? Different markets.

Unless, of course, you step into the new pvp arena system, which puts an end to duels where the players would just chicken out and run back into town. Will players be able to set up a 'high stakes' duel where the winning team will get to loot the bodies of the losing team?

That would be kind of awesome. Even if you only get to choose, say, one item off the players dead body.

    Quote from LamesMcGee

I would like to see it if the orbs were random. You pick one up and it could be anything, you find out what it is once you grab it.

Wouldn't like that - would turn it more into a game of chance than skill.

    posted a message on Mercs?
Just wondering if any information about any type of Mercenaries, ala Diablo 2's, has been released? Did anyone even ask the question in the Q&A?

It seems like a pretty big piece of info to leave out - last Blizzcon when they talked about it it sounded like they could play a much bigger role than previously.

The PvP in D2 was a pile of crap that people somehow took and made into something that was semi-playable. Any change is an improvement, imo.

Looks like tons of fun too and as long as they don't balance the game around it (which Jay Wilson said they wouldn't) i'm all for it.

Some people just cling onto nostalgia for the sake of it. D2 was _not_ perfect - far from it, in fact.

I'm sorry, but its quite clear that all of us think that arenas are a improvement from what D2 had. However, saying that pvp was broken in D2 is stupid, most people who think that way were lame-ass duelers, heck, if i had my ass handed to me every single game i would think that way too.

Pretty much everyone on this forums are more of pve oriented, thats why everyone says D2 dueling sucked, and I'm willing to bet it will be the same for D3, specially because the game won't be balanced around it, meaning there will be a LOT of ''i win'' skills on pvp.

If you think that D2 PvP wasn't broken then you are delusional. I'm sure even the original creators of D2 would say that it was broken and tacked on.

I'm not saying it wasn't fun at times.

posted a message on Some thoughts after playing demo at Blizzcon
    Quote from Siaynoq

Well I know D2 gets pretty busy too. But the lighting in this game can just be so intense. More so though I was seriously if the players would ever get hit. It'd be satisfying to see more demos where shit is just so though that they are getting killed a lot.

Since when was D2 a game where you died a lot? Unless you were noob you only really died in Hell against immunes or when you lagged and got caught in a mob

I actually love the new PvP - I do remember having fun being griefed/griefing other people back in D2 but really that was a poorly implemented PvP system

    Quote from Elder

I'm really stuck between this one and the monk. Both appeal to me. They're both fast. They both combine physcial combat with magical. I'm stuck to be honest. I love the demon hunter concept, but I also like the monk's concept.

Don't worry, you can play both :whistling:
