However, on topic, this makes sense. Generally I think people will want to go with the 1H+orb over 2H because of the mobility and ability to carry a shield. If Inferno is really as hard as everyone says it is (and I do believe it) then we will need the extra defensive stats to survive. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

1. So on the character attributes screen, there is a DPS value in the bottom right corner. Is it this value that is used to determine spell damage? Or is it the actual weapon damage from the character inventory screen?
2. How does +damage factor into this... what I mean is lets say you have a weapon that is 6-10 damage with +4-5 cold damage. Is this cold damage applied like "weapon" damage to your spell? So is the effective spell damage used for calculation 10-15 or is it 6-10 and it leaves out the extra cold damage? What happens if the monster is cold immune, but you are casting a spell that does arcane damage - does it leave out the +cold damage?
3. The wizard has a skill that adds 15% physical damage to a weapon. Does this have an effect on the damage that would be done with a spell (ie you spells do 15% more damage)?
4. I know a faster weapon speed causes you to cast faster, but does the "DPS" of a weapon matter for spells, or is it just the raw weapon damage that matters for spell damage?
5. Why dont they just show per hit damage (like D2). It would make it so much easier to see what is happening with spells. ><
Pretty much I think I just dont get how weapon damage/ weapon DPS/ +damage attributes play into the system.
Thanks in advance.

My next best guess is that they will announce a date during those spike tv awards where they are putting up the whole trailer.
March is looking more likely at this point.
