    Greetings!
I do not see any reason why they should impliment this now. It makes me feel like they are being too heavily influenced by WOW. Each character needs its own personality. You see "XxPKTHENOOBxX" and you know hes that asshole that kills everyone for no reason... and you know he's lightning spec. That is personality. That needs to feel the same as Diablo 2.

Respeccing has NOTHING to do with WoW. What it does have to do with is escaping character regret when your a noob and making it so that if you get a Barbarian to 99, if you put a skill point in a wrong slot you don't have to reroll a whole barbarian.

Personally, it's dumb not to have it.

Well, after carefully reading and analyzing your post I must conclude that it does not contain a trace of whine, therefore, this is a useless post.

Do not encourage Blizzard: we have to keep them on their toes, our fiery tough love always there, persistent and consistent in both volume and heat. You do not get in shape by looking at the mirror and telling yourself you look great, NO you tell yourself you are fat. We are that mirror image, we are Blizzard's inspiration and motivation to do better. No matter how much I will have to complain, suggest and demand I will do it, because that is true love and dedication to what I care about the most. Me.

What do you think EA games does? Creates way more than 4 games at once...

    Good games?

    Stop messing with the outdoors.

They look beautiful and contrast the bleak of the dungeon. Overall, they will make the dungeon atmospheres that much better.

IF YOU HAVE TO NITPICK, nitpick at the dungeon.

edit: as for realistic graphics, I am pretty sure the outdoor areas where I live (colorado) look more akin to the original than any of the edits. Just sayin'.

This is not a thread for complaining.

This is not a thread for arguing.

This is a thread for <3 and for thanking Blizzard for knowing what its community wants. Hell, they are developing FOUR games at once now, two MMOs, an RTS, and an RPG. No other company I know can do that.

Blizzard, you know how to build up the hype, and you always deliver.

    Thanks!

It's too cartoon-ish. Diablo 1 wasn't, Diablo 2 wasn't, why should their next game be?
But this is not a surprise since Starctaft 2 uses the same engine, hence the similar feel of the visuals.

So, from what I gather, you would rather them scrap the entire engine and start fresh? Seems like a great idea.

That's an extremely stupid way of fixing things. If monitors had custom presets, then I guess it would be better option, but still ridiculous nonetheless.

...In the game's video options, not your monitor's. It takes literally 30 seconds...

No it's not only color, it's also the engine (or perhaps the artist's way of making 100-polygon characters...).

    See above.

I'm sorry that Diablo 2 spoiled me.

I'm sorry, I don't think Diablo is a good example of timeless graphics. :)

Unless you are blind you could easily see that all textures from Diablo 3 (from what is available to see) are hand made with a pastel look, that kind of art style belongs to Warcraft, the bottom texture is what belongs to Diablo, that was my point.

Starcraft 1 and Diablo 1 (as well as most of 2 I believe) were hand made pastel graphics that made use of sprites. Think you got them mixed up.

Agreed. Many of the complainers are idealizing D1 and D2, as well as acting illogical. Go back and play D2 act 1. It was boring and drab as Hell. Go and try to make yourself play through D1 again. It's pretty arcane, to say the least.

I love the look and I hope Blizzard doesn't sell out. Either way, the game will be immensely successful. Sure, some things could use a change. But the game is so early in alpha that complaints are unwarranted. Furthermore, you can change GAMMA and BRIGHTNESS in your video options!!!!

The graphics don't even look REMOTELY like WoW and yet people still draw the comparison because of...Color?! Hey guys, Katamari Damaci is so WoW its not even funny. So is TF2!!!! THEY HAVE BRIGHT COLORS!!

This community sounds like a bunch of spoiled brats. Really, it's disappointing to say the least.

I am so sick of seeing those pictures posted everywhere on these forums. Can a mod clean it up?

In all seriousness. She can't be only than 15-20.

    The line:
"I don't think its safe here."

It's almost spoken with a tone of suprise or worry. I would assume she is either Deckard's apprentice, traveling with him to Tristram, or a local girl.

One thing is for sure: She seems to have some sort of magic about her.

I do what i can do, i dont have access to the game engine, i cant change the textures, models and lightning, that's why im just changing the colors, its all i can do with images.

Tell me which one of those fits Diablo better:

Do you still think its all about brightness and contrast?

Yes, because this ONE texture when compared to ONE other from a previous game proves it!

My god you guys are irrational. D2 Act 1 was horrifically boring. Do you not remember this?

Riiiiiiight, becuase the only difference between a computer, and a console is the mouse... *rolls eyes* ...

Most people own computers, or have access to them. Specifically, college students nowadays can usually "check out" a laptop from their library for up to 5 hours.

Furthermore, many computers (such as laptops and older hardware) just don't have the capability to run D3, but students own these to word process and surf.

Even still, its cheaper to buy a CHEAP computer AND an Xbox and have top of the notch gaming as well as word processing/internet than it would be to buy a gaming system! Wow!

Raging fanboism. You have to love it.

It makes no difference on how many platforms its released (except to better fund Blizzard) yet people still freak for no good reason.

    "NO WAY"

    "...Why not?"

"Because only people privileged enough to own a computer made within the last four years should get to enjoy this!!!!"

"...What about college students? An Xbox is much more economical for gaming, and college students are often poor, yet make up a large portion of gamers."

    "College is for n00bs!"

    edit:

    Xbox.

Why would you guys want to game on that blu ray rea...I mean, Playstation 3?

I love the graphic style, but I do agree that the color palette is too pastelly (I know, not a real word.) Anyway, I was messing around with one of the screenshots and I tweaked it a little to represent what I would personally prefer. That said, if the colors stay the same I'm still beyond pumped for the game and the wait to play will be a long one :)

    BEFORE

    AFTER

I know which one is WAY more appealing to my eye, and its the original.

By the way. I believe you can set GAMMA and BRIGHTNESS in your video options.
