posted a message on SSS Comeback with Innas?

May the mighty Seven Sided Strike make a comeback alongside with innas being comparable strong to wukongs?

The Flow of Eternity + Madstone build was already very legit in the early days of Greater Rifts. With the recent introduction of Gungdo Gear and the datamined changes to Innas Mantra, possibly making it the M6 of monks and a new item too (info below), we might get a new flavor-of-the-patch monk build (taking the throne from torch-monk).

Inna's Mantra 2 pieces: [Increase the passive effect of your Mystic Ally and the base passive effect of your Mantra by 100%.]

Inna's Mantra 6 pieces: [Mystic Ally casts Cyclone Strike, Exploding Palm, Lashing Tail Kick, Seven-Sided Strike, and Wave of Light when you do.]

ItemPassive_Unique_915_x1 - Seven-Sided Strike performs an additional seven strikes.

Im not entirely sure how high the damage potential in greater rifts would be, especially bc we dont know what kind of items the new innas piece and the other new item are gonna be. If it all works out, the damage could be insane, practically casting 6 SSS at once: (1(you)+2(ally with Crudest Boots))*2(new item)

Downsides to this build could be that you have very little space for variation, as at seemingly 9 items are mandatory and physical is prob gonna have to be your element of choice, as the CDR-rune of SSS is physical.

    Discuss.

for a lot of weapons it also has design reasons, for example for thunderfury it just comes to mind it deals lightning damage.

    Quote from PsykStrike
There are already options for boosting 2H atk spd.

    1. Atk spd stat on gears - wep / ammy / rings / gloves / bracers: lacuni prowler or steady strikers / belt: witching hour.

    2. STI passive - in 2.1.

    3. Flying Dragon - Extremely high speed 2H which can refresh buff during buff duration (and from what I hear, they stack on top of each other).

    4. Gorgok of Swiftness - 2.1 leg gem - gain atk spd and cdr stacks on hit.

    5. Atk spd on paragon points - This is pretty much a given though.

    6. Mantra of Retribution - Transgression

    7. Increased generator atk speed in next PTR build - This isn't even an option. You're getting this bonus whether you want it or not.

Frankly the above mentioned options provide more than enough APS with a 2H.
the thing is, half of those are bound to sacrifices. but i guess you're right on the 2.1 matter, lets wait it out and see how it affects daibos.

what about something in the style of "When wielding a Daibo, you have a X% chance to gain X% Attack Speed for 1 second when killing an opponent."

i really want sunwukos set to do work, it could be so fun if daibos were actually a good high difficulty build.

posted a message on shields any good for barbs?
are there any good builds for barbs which contain a shield? i think shields are very underrepresented, as only crusaders even take them into considerations, because they have to.

posted a message on Fists of Thunder any good?
i jus wanted to ask if Fists of thunder have a real purpose atm? the attack speed multiplier of them seems so low. i tried them on both fire and lightning monk, but DR(lightning) and CW(fire) were both respectively better.

    do i miss a point?

posted a message on Pillar of the Ancients - love it or hate?
im not sure what to think about it, but not really because of the collision. i havent even noticed it so far tbh. but what really bothers me is its huge casting animation, which makes it just clearly worse than lashing tail kick, in most aspects.

it is indeed lightning damage now.

ingame you can see the element of every spell in the skill selection, like this
