A bit offtopic, but here is an rare insight into my unbeatable super genius logic and reasoning

I havent died yet, im still alive right now... therefore i must be Immortal
I havent been brought close to death by any physical injuries... therefore I must be Invincible.

    Im smart :)

faulty logic. When using statistics, use more than 1 example. And in this instance, you are a human being. Last time I check all human beings that *have* (noticed past tense?) living are now dead. Meaning if you are or were alive at one point, you either are dead now, or will be in the future.

    hehe xd

Man, I hate all that 'collecting ingredients' thing. When I played Morrowind, I hated finding all these plants that I may or may not use in the future, but I would always collect them anyway, just incase. I always have this 'just incase' urge, and its really annoying. I'd rather the option not be there.

But if its just one class that does it, then maybe.

! I am just like that in all games. Especially DiabloII and Morrowind. On Morrowind, I always specialize in Alchemy, so I always take all ingrediants possible for the whole 'just incase' urge. As dor DiabloII, if I see an item and think it'll be helpful in the future, I'll keep it, no matter how crappy it is. (Wow, I almost said creepy and not crappy, thank goodness for the backspace button, LOL)

Can't we have a class who could craft his/her own weapons by collecting minerals, metals, rocks, elements etc etc?

It would be the primary skill unlike the horadric cube. The cube could be taken by any class but this class could have the ability of crafting weapons/armor which other classes wouldn't have.

I agree full heartedly. Something like Runescape, where you go out, mine different ores then smith the ores together to get solid copper/steel/iron etc. then go to an anvil and make gear out of it. That would be neat, plus you could have different variations of steel, which could result in a stronger weapon being made (Ie. steel: 2 parts iron 1 part coal would be weaker than 3 parts iron and 1 part coal). However, the addition of such a thing will make getting items much easier, so it would make gold less valuable? Actually, after thinking about it a second time, sounds like getting items easier than money even more... hmmm maybe it will make gold more valuable?

Can I call you a kiwi from now on? also, New Zealand is a way cooler place than the US, so I guess you get that, and you also have The World's Fastest Indian which is a sweet movie, and some other stuff. :D

What exactly is New Zealand's national sport? I can't remember.
Rugby I believe. But hey, I live in Canada so don't trust my word.

Most games have cold based spells, or ice based spells. Blizzard, Ice Storm, Glacial Spike, Ice Bolt etc. Summon Water Elemental is not a Cold or Ice based spell it's Water based, obviously.

I know. I was saying there was never water based spells in any of the Diablo games, just ice-based. Or for what I can remember, at least.

I'm not much of a fan of any of those options. If any, I might go and say Jazz, ebcause of its slight similarity to Ska music, however I haven't actually listened to any Jazz. However, I have listened to Metallica and enjoy it, so maybe Death metal? Or whatever Metallica is considered...

Ah thanks Elfen! Sorry I didn't look. Just when I see extremely long threads, I have a tendency to only look at the later parts of it.

Also, kind of what you partially mentioned there (You said water[ice] ). I think have actual water skills would be cool too. Shame they avoided that in the previous versions. Conjuring floods and rain storms would be nice. >:]

I think your ideas are pretty good fbim. I like the ideas of a Dark Sage. However I think there should be a class for necromancers, a class for sorcerors, a class for light mages and one for dark mages.

Necromancers can summon the undead, use poison/bone skills.

    Sorcerors use elemental techniques.

Light mages uses holy techniques + elemental techniques but modified to be more holier (Ie. Holy Fire bolt... that was just first thing that came to mind).

Dark mages would be opposite of Light mages, of course. You'd have elemental skills, but more dark and evilish. You could also summon demons, rather than the undead. And the dark elemental skills would be like Dark Fire bolt, or something. Y'know?

However fbim, I am SO happy you brought up earth spells. I have been dying to see some in the Diablo games. Especially after watchign Gaara of The Desert from the Naruto animé, damn sand techniques would be BADASS.

Normally I wouldn't hate Christianity, as I'm neutral towards all religions (Except Shinto and Taoism, I think they're pretty cool). However, the reason why I don't like Christianity is because of my Christian friends, or ones I've had in my past. Now, it may just be a coincidence, but three friends of mine that are CHristian have real bad attitudes that I hate. Why am I friends with them? Well, because they keep hanging around me and all, and at times they don't act so bad. But with 3/3 in terms of bad attitude and being christian - I just had to make that correlation in my mind.

    Correction: 4/4

Theres some Christian guy I know on another forum. I guess I can't *really* complain about his attitude,a s he even stated it himself, we both debate in the exact same way. However, in our debate (Which, ironically, was about religion and the creation of the universe), we stated a lot of information in forms of analogies, but they were horribly done, and made everything he stated very shoddy and even harder to believe. And in terms of deabtes, he was even more close minded than I. So, for that, I'll still say that its 4/4.

    It's a new religion I founded!

    Diabloism:

We go to the cathedral each night in Tristram with swords and we get our blessings from Archbishop Lazurus.

Here is the 10 Diabloism Commandments:

    1. Thou must sit on thy ass when playing any Diablo game.
    2. Thou must be exactly 1.5489 feet from monitor when playing a Diablo game.
    3. Thou must eat only meat on Fridays.
    4. Thou must think of only Diablo during History Class.
    5. Thou must only speak in Diablish on threads dedicated to Diabloism.
    6. Thou must love Diablo.
    7. Thou must never take Diablo's name in vain.
    8. Thou must kill.
    9. Thou must not have any Prime Evils before Baal, Mephisto, and our Great Lord of Terror, Diablo.
    10. Thou must steal from Christian churches.

Anyone want to become a Diabloist?

    :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Where do I sign up? :D

Oh wait.. I don't like #3. Can't we eat bread and chocolate too? :(

But hey, I got a sword, and I can kill, so I'm in. ;D

But reading that quote on what an agnostic person is... thats a damn good definition in what I believe. I'm a hardcore science person... I guess. But when thinking of the Big Bang theory, you have to wonder where exactly did all that energy and matter come from in the first place? At first some would say a God would, but I see it as a possibilty that there is a creature out there in the universe that breaks the law of conservation of mass (Which states that energy can not be created nor destroyed). Not a godly creature, just one that has the ability to create (and possibly destroy?) mass and energy.

Hehe not sure what you said lol, I was just thinking of maybe a WoW type auction house thats linked with all the channels for people to sell and buy items with the gold they aquired - the gold in d1 and d2 was too easy to get and had no real purpose, so I hope it is more worth something in d3

Sorry, I didn't realize how many typos there were. I pretty much said that it would be cool if there were auctions for cool items in the chat rooms where the items aren't being sold by players but by Blizzard members. And of course, if gold was made to be worth a lot more than it is now, then we can just use gold as currency in the auctions. :D

I just think it's another 1st-person-shooter. I don't get why everyone is in love with it

I agree. The best FPS game I play is DoD and DoD:S which are great games. Not to mention the communities I play with are great people

But my god, that flash game is terrible. I am still pondering what the purpose of the lever was. It opened up the gate to the succubus, but it was impossible to hurt it, and there was nothing behind it except for a chest with some money. o.o
