Jun 27, 2008Medievaldragon posted a message on Hello from Paris ... Wee Wee, Merci and all thatWell, not bad looking women on this place that for sure. Hmm ... got some nice techniques from the Vantage's Point movie. I should set an iPhone to turn on the fan and some lightwork to distract some blizz folks, get in stealth-mode, loot the game announcement stuff, and walk out. Sounds nice.Posted in: News
Except I have no iPhone ... oh well. -
Jun 20, 2008Medievaldragon posted a message on Diablo II Digital Downloads SoonThat rusty tornado page was posted a few years ago when Blizzard announced a Diablo patch which introduced Ruststorm. That page is around 3-4 years old.Posted in: News

Jun 18, 2008Medievaldragon posted a message on Diablo II Digital Downloads SoonThe 1.12a concept mentioned in the news article comes from the title the Blizzard Tech Support representative used in that forum thread.Posted in: News
He titled it as:
Diablo II Patch v1.12a Released!
Unless that was a typo, this can be interpreted as there are plans for 1.12b -- because It is not usual to call recently released patches with letters "a". -

Jun 18, 2008Medievaldragon posted a message on Diablo II Digital Downloads SoonBy making the game Digital download, if you lost your CD now that the no-CD patch was implemented you can purchase Diablo II via digital download instead of buying a CD off ebay or from a store.Posted in: News
Also newcomers to the Diablo franchise are now able to download. I am a heavy collector of Warcraft novels, and all its previous games, and on 2004, I purchased Diablo II and LOD.
Naturally there is a portion of Blizzard fans who have never played Diablo, and if they wished to purchase it they can do so now straight from Blizzard via digital download.
This benefits many types of fans' technical needs and issues.
This is already in discussion at another thread. I said in said thread that this looks like a typical DNS domain name transfer behavior. I haven't confirmed Mockery has done this yet. I haven't interacted with Mockery in like 2-3 weeks.Quote from "Veltras" »Off topic: Hey MD, I got the word that diablo3.com isn't working for some people in europe, do you have any idea of if Blizz has finally took the domain?
On topic: Great news, if only I didn't already have a copy of D2 LOD.
Anyways I wonder what else they're going to include in the patch, new monster? new runewords? or simply fixing some bugs.
Usually during a domain name transfer the people living in the immediate area will notice the DNS change right away. While those who live further continue to see the domain name working as normal. Around noon, I could still see diablo3.com pointing to diablofans.com (I live on US East Coast). It is past 6pm and now Diablo3.com went to limbo with a blank page and errors. Sometimes even get a google search page.
If there is any domain name transfer updates, you will read them on the Diablofans.com News Section. I contacted Mockery and Jetrall on this matter in case it is a technical problem. -

This is very inaccurate. World of Warcraft was last said to have 10.5 million subscribers. It has never been said it has lost subscribers, far less to drop to 5 millions.Quote from "eXip" »Wow had like 12 million now its down to about 5 million -

Last year, 1UP posted they read on the itinerary something about Project Medusa (which turned out to be Starcraft 2 Announcement)Quote from "smurphy999999999" »Well didn't someone "let it slip" last WWI that there would be a game announcement? -
Jun 13, 2008Medievaldragon posted a message on XFire Slips WWI Game Announcement?Posted in: News
I think I know what happened. When I highlighted the Xfire news at the XFire URL --- for some reason Blizzcon 2007 is somewhere in the code, invisible. When you paste the highlighted text that shows up.Quote from "ov3erlord" »rofl! why are you the first to notice this? and the text states blizzcon and not wwi...
it seems that some jerk over at xfire jus copy-pasted the text from last year???? wtf is going on? -

I did email him, but no response thus far. And like gyrextt said, Blizzard.com also posted it on the news. So that makes it official.Quote from "Chaosdragon94" »
Anyways, Medieval - I was wondering, have you gotten confirmation from Drysc/Blizzard that there really is a ladder reset on the 17th? -
Jun 10, 2008Medievaldragon posted a message on Rumor: Diablo II Patch and Ladder ResetNope. The one I couldn't talk about was when the domain ownership would be officially transfered, which is on .... ahh gotcha.Posted in: News

If you found it, share it. You are not alone on that wagon. Lot of people have lost their CD or got it scratched.Quote from "Chaosinborn" »Crap you need the CD for the no CD patch?
My cd is scratched to hell, it barely works. I beleive i heard that there is a way for them to send me a new cd and stuff right?
EDIT: Found it - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

I showed my press badge to the booth attendant, and she gave the 2012 Insight Editions Complete Catalog. There I got the names of some of the artists, and (drumroll) plans to launch an eBook version -- which comes handy for international folks who might not have the chance of having access to the physical hardcover.
I managed to amplify the tiny illustrations, and transcribed the Diablo character entry.
UPDATE - Oct 20: Three new images available.
UPDATE - Oct 20: 8 pages preview -- massive lore spoilers about the origin of the universe and the Worldstone.

If your account was hi-jacked and banned -- changing the password won't be enough if your computer is compromised. I'll say run the following:
1. Avast Anti-Virus
2. Spybot: Search and Destroy
3. MooSoft The Cleaner (This one is entirely dedicated to Trojan detection only)
Some people like to use Kapersky anti-virus. You can give that a shot.
Once you are completely sure your system is clean, change passwords.

The title and plot is unknown, but this is the first confirmation of a new Diablo III novel since September 25, 2007 when Diablo: The Sin War, The Veiled Prophet shipped.
In case someone mentions it, nope, Diablo III: Book of Cain is an encyclopedia. Not a novel.

Yes, there are options to display ON/OFF some features like sub-titles (Audio tab), health bar of monsters, health bar of players, etc.

1. Was the sword retconned to look something more epic and less boring?
2. If not, where did this sword come from?
Regardless of the answer, ain't it interesting Epic Weapons Facebook added Diablo alongside their other licenses? =)

It's 10: 23pm EST/GMT -5. It's been two hours since I noticed. Just checked my US Battle.net Account. The StarCraft II icons, text and links are now back to normal. Kinda interesting because while the account management page was down, people were still be able to play the game. Sort of a stealthy website server maintenance.
Either they are preparing for a StarCraft II PTR, or they are performing some unknown website maintenance.

Any of you naysayers are on US Battle.net? Seems nothing is going on for Europeans.
After you login go to the US Battle.net Account Management. If SC2 is missing then something is going on.
https://us.battle.net/account/management/
Doesn't mean Diablo III beta will start in a few hours or tomorrow. However, it might be a preparation for the Diablo III beta webpage, installer page, FAQ, etc.
In past betas, it is common to see unannounced and non-scheduled server maintenances, or websites or forums going down. It's a 50/50 that it is or not related to Diablo III beta maintenance.

I launched the SC2 .exe file, downloaded old patches. Logged into SC2. No maintenance downtime. Seems to be working fine. However, I loaded the Battle.net Account website and the SC2 text, icons and links remain gone.
A. Signs they are working on Diablo III beta installer page and links?
B. Completely unrelated?
Who knows. Hasn't there been pre-beta preparation tweaking of Battle.net before these past years?
Update: You should be on US Battle.net and own StarCraft II. Login here, then go to this page:
https://us.battle.net/account/management/
If StarCraft II text, icons and links are completely gone, then there's something fishy going on. WikingerKrone confirmed he is experiencing the same.
Update - 10:23pm EST/-5GMT: The StarCraft II icons, text and links are back online.
Update: 2:30am EST / -5GMT - Forgot to do a basic check up. I just launched the StarCraft II PTR launcher. This is the info:
SC2 Public Test server is not available right now. Please check http://www.battle.net/sc2/game/ptr/ for more information.
Which means whatever stealth-maintenance was done last night on the Battle.net Account page is a mystery.

I got curious and looked up the Diablo: Sword of Justice concept art. Guess what? It doesn't look at all like in both Destruction's End cinematics (D2 / D3). Now that's more like a epic sword look.

The Epic Weapons facebook only links to a few facebook pages: those licenses they have developed replicas for ... and Diablo III is there? Whoa? When? How? It has not been announced at all. Not yet, that is.
The one Diablo III weapon replica that fits perfectly the term "Epic" is Archangel Tyrael's sword. DC Comics recently revealed the upcoming launch of Diablo: Sword of Justice -- a comic book about Tyrael's sword somehow having sentience. A young kid hears the calling of the sword and wields it to become the Avatar of Justice on Sanctuary.
Would you buy this licensed product if Epic Weapons really announces it?
