But an 'announce' is better than 'omg i saw the d3.ico, It means something!'
truest of trues.
yet... remember starcraft ghost? anyways, that would never happen to diablo.
well... let's keep our hopes up, the day is near. well, almost.

The "Lore and Art" and the "Game Design" panels from the WWI can now be downloaded via blizzard downloader. The links can be found from the blizzard main site...
By the way, can someone tell them to fix the link for the game design video... there's a 'P' missing on the link.
It goes to:
http://eu.blizzard.com/wwi08/_videos/panels/anel_Diablo_Game_Design_EU-mp4-downloader.exe
But the link that works is:
http://eu.blizzard.com/wwi08/_videos/panels/Panel_Diablo_Game_Design_EU-mp4-downloader.exe
cheers

I don't think it was really bad, but I too had this obsession and often wasted a lot of time organizing my inventory... it just looked so nicer! I mean, it was begging to be organized. Wish I would feel the same way about my bedroom, know what I mean?
To the original poster: The dedicated bags idea sound good to me.
The fact is, they haven't really made official announcements as to how the inventory is going to work, so let's just wait to see what they come up with.

They also mentioned they have a system that eliminates the need of mules.

Other than that, good video, I enjoyed it.

That's what I was going to say, but I was going to mention the XP actually.
Who said they were virgins btw? I don't even think they exist in sanctuary...

Besides, that was just one idea, the MAIN idea I was trying to point out was the "skills' evolution", THIS concept can be applied even with the old system.
Actually, it already is, I was hoping someone would think of some skill they used a lot, and in what way it could develop as it increases in level or something.
Leap attack, for instance, was a skill I liked a lot as well.
As you put more points into it, you can jump over longer distances, maybe at some point you could swing your weapon not only as you land but also as you take off, or even if you use a throwable weapon you could use that in mid-air... maybe that last one's a little too much, but I'm just brainstorming here...

I installed Diablo1 this past week and played single player with the sorc and remembered something I thought of a lot back in the day...
I think it would be really cool if some skills evolve not only in one aspect (for instance, usually damage) as it evolves, but in the way they work... for instance:
The FIRE WALL, i love that spell, but its effectiveness isn't the greatest unless you work around it (freeze [stone curse on d1] the enemy as it walks through it or make him walk along it or something like that), still I always felt we should have more control over the direction of the wall.
The way it works on the first two games is: the wall is always tangential, but how about, as you get better at it, you also gain increased control over it, like, you can make it radial (on the radius of the circle centered on your char) towards where you point it, or even in any direction, or instead of making a really long wall that is one unit thick, we could make a shorter one that is thicker, thus, harder to avoid.
How we'd control it? idk, have to think about it, the radial option is pretty simple, so is the "any direction" one.
The same concept could be applied to nearly all skills.
I believe WoW has a system where the more you use a certain skill, the better you get at it, I think it would be only appropriate to have this system work on D3 in a similar manner.
I know this already exists with some skills, the FW itself gets and lasts longer at higher levels, but the concept could be explored further.
Any thoughts? I'd like to read on similar ideas for other existing skills...

But I disagree with phrozendragon on the point that the ubers isn't type of quest, it is.
About what Carloseus said, well, what if I like the sorceress and want to kill the ubers using that character? Or any other that not the builds you mentioned?
Actually that was one of the things that made D2 really frustrating for me after a certain patch (can't recall the number), cause there were all these areas where I couldn't solo any more because (apparently) they put too much focus on cooperative play, to a point where soloing with certain characters became impossible. Still, some character builds (usually paladins) could take on even the ubers solo.

Well, I think 5 classes sound like too little variety to me, but depending on how they play it, we can have a great variety within each class, right?
Obviously the return of the sorcerer/ress is inevitable, and I really likes it ;D
The paladin always looked gay imho, but i'm sure he will be back.
Other than that, I guess the amazon, if they haven't all been corrupted already.

That's a VERY good point, if they allow for some loose respeccing that's how it should be done.
Though I feel maybe giving the players a chance to experiment a little with a few different skills before they "marry" it (so to speak), could be fun, like, you can change your last skill, but once you level up, you have to place that skill definetely before you can place your next skill. And no more than this. Like, you had the chance to experiment, now make up your mind and quit whining, next!
But definetely no full respeccing, i mean, if we can respec as much as we want, every level 30 barbarian will be the same, apart from gear, maybe.

And just because they're 3 different styles of gameplay it doesn't mean they don't conflict.
They would just have to be dumb to RELEASE all 3 at once (or in a short time).
Just thought of this: Maybe the 3 prime evils turn into a huge monster with 3 heads, hence hydra!
LOL

There's probably a bunch of guys on a starcraft2 board somewhere discussing all the stuff they see that lead to thinking that they'll be anouncing sc2 or something like you do, but, say what you want, the ice theme alone speaks loud enough for me and it says WotLK.
The rest is there just to throw us off... sorry.
