Pros:
very fast mana generation
huge burst potential
good CC
swappable for other CD skills
able to spam high cost mana skills
RoT is AoE as is Grasp
Cons:
Relies upon skills being on CD for main attack (Rain of Toads)
must continuously burn army and voodoo for main attack
easy to forget to burn slower CD spells
Basically the playstyle can be modified, I like this one because it is currently non pet dependent, however it can very quickly be changed to sacrificed to create a tree that does i.e. dogs and gargantuan, however these become overwhelmed quickly the long CD while easier to manage deprives you of a clutch ability that can save you and offer a little more CC
edit: I've swapped out for a 5th CD skill to juggle the CDs a little more easily
Lacks damage (unless you have 50K+ DPS) and relies on getting close to use LS. I tried a similar version to this but until things get buffed or I get godly gear it's just not effective enough. I'd swap toads for corpse bomb for more damage and as a personal preference I'd swap grasp with zombie wall since grasp is irrelevant for elites (the longer CD is helpful for VQ builds). Horrify with the armor rune could be a better fit over army since you need to get close with LS.

Playing Diablo since 97. I know nothing and having nothing good to say, I be a troll.
I actually swapped LS out for gargantuan:RG but I see your points, but the damage in this build relies upon the fetishes primarily, if there is a higher damage physical spell I'd use it as primary, but I like the zombie wall suggestion, as far as Grasp not being effective against elites, I beg to differ, it's all about circular kiting.
Edit: RoT also ignores various barriers such as wallers, and grasp of dead: RoC adds to the, "it's raining death" of this build
Wall could be your replacement for garg then, I find too many enemies with shield, fast, plague, vortex, and teleport make kiting difficult. You are right on some enemies by passing wall but both abilities have their down points. It's nice to be in a narrow area and not be touched while you nuke elites to nothing. I'm curious as why you didn't use the fetish passive if this focus is on fetishes.
