Senties will still do 100% of our damage, which means that casting a skill with 1 sentry up will do 300% more damage(100% from sentry cast and from 6p bonus we gain 100% more damage, which means double damage, hence 200%); with 2 sentries 500%(200% from sentries + 300% from 6p bonus), with 3 - 700% and so on. Actually the damage increase will be much more than just 500% with 5 sentries up. Those 5 sentries will do 5*100% = 500% of the skill's damage. So, we'll end up doing 500% increased damage, which means 100% damage(initial cast) + 5 times from 6p bonus = 600% damage plus the damage from sentry casts = 1100%. If my calculations are correct that means a multiplier of 11. If we have 45% CA damage on gear we'll do: (770% + 0.45*770%)*11 = 12281.5% weapon damage per LFB cast, that's without any sentry damage gear.
Quote from yuhanzI'm guessing the tweak to the p6 would entail us to change the sentry damage% to something else for the shoulder/torso/quiver slots...not sure bout the maths tho
Fairly sure that since sentries will still be about half our damage +Sentry % will still be best in those slots. Chest only has defensive options as useful alternatives, shoulders would potentially be resource cost reduction (which has potential, but is hard to say for sure), and +15% sentry is still likely better on quiver than +CA/MS/etc due to how the math works. That might be different for some builds though.
I'd say that sentry damage will still be best stat for chest and shoulders, but spender damage will be better on quiver. With 1 senty up we'll do 200% damage and the sentry will do 100%. That's not about half of our damage, it's 33.33%. With 5 sentries up they will do 45,45% of our damage. If we include bolts/rockets damage from sentries it might get to 50%. I'd stick with spender damage on quiver because I've tried grifts on current PTR build and there is no time to cast 5 sentries in a fight. I could cast all 5 only on boss fights and some elites.
Sentries do not get the buff from the 6 piece bonus (the 2nd iteration on the PTR). So they will do just normal damage. This has been confirmed by a blue. We effectively get a 6x multiplier with 5 sentires out, the sentries do not.
Sentries will no longer receive the 100% damage, only the player, nerfed already.
Sort of. But we now receive a 500% buff (up from 200%) when we have 5 sentries out. So our sentries lose the 100%, halving their damage but we gain an additional 300% ourselves. Overall its a slight nerf but its the right thing to do.

And of course you get 5 sentries out. If you cant then you're on a g rift level too low.
