So I'm pretty much stuck at this point. I can handle T3 rifts pretty well, but that's about where I stop. T4 takes quite a bit longer and I always seem to stumble into a death. I'm looking to make the Aughild shoulders and chest when I actually find the plans, and I'm also one of those people who hasn't found a RoRG yet. I don't have a Charo, Hellskull, Piro, or any other legendary shield aside from the one on my templar and a hallowed I made with 20% holy damage. Also I don't have any of the legendary flails aside from the mortal drama and I also only have two pieces of (poorly rolled) akkhan, the helm and the boots.
Now given my poor luck, what are my options? Just keep running and hope at some point, SOMETHING drops that will help me kick into a higher torment level? Or is there something I can do with my current gear (I'm trying to make a new captain's belt that can roll AR but just can't get those sand sharks to spawn) that would help me out beyond what I'm currently using? Also what changes to my build would make it flow better or would just be a better change in general?
Thanks for any opinions or ideas you may have for my crusader. I appreciate it. Good luck out there!
I've never really liked holy so i can't really comment on the state of your spec that in depth. I think you should run akkarats champ over falling sword though, maybe something like embodiment of power.
If you are focusing on CDR for condemn i'd say it's not really worth it since the holy BoP condemn build doesn't really function in T6 any more. could be spent elsewhere on stats like all res or vit. I'd say just keep struggling through and trying to find specific peices through kadala and then function your spec around it. Fire/Liightning/Holy are all viable in t6 with a few builds. Find a darklight or maximus? go fire. Fate of the fells? Holy. Tgods/Shaffuers/ go lightning. crusader are gated so hard by gear at t3-t4 but once you get that signature item the rest just falls into place i wish you the best of luck :).
Running t5 hardcore, cant even imagine how could i transition to t6. Need to rise toughness, sheet damage, get rolls for heavens fury etc. Any tips?
Pretty much have to min-max your current gear and hope for better rolls i'll list a few here but man it's going to take time and good luck.
Pants - all res and health globe bonus, boots - health globe bonus, FoTF - higher damage roll and CDR, gloves - health globe and maybe crit over vit? not sure how comfortable it is for you considering i can only do T3 on my HC crusader without fearing for my life. Shoulders - Healthglobe and vitality instead of life%. Bracers - healthglobe and 6% damage reduction.
i'd say your biggest loss of damage is not having any CHD on gloves/rings which is 150% total on perfect rolls. only problem is that RoRG is quite decent so i assume you will just have to drop vit from unity/gloves for crit which unfortunately can't really be made up any where else. Really hard situation to be in just tossing out some thoughts that come to mind
Tbh i'd run wrathful over finery becaue the healing from heaven's fury is pretty huge, and worth the ~700 strength you will lose
@ Sotdeath i'd suggest going for a harringtons belt, very noticeable increase in power. Did you have to roll into three sockets on your chest because i can't tell from the batlenet. if you haven't i'd suggest changing the life regen into condemn damage.
@ Enterich even monks get crusader shields, unfortunately i don't think the chance will be any better on your barb so i wish you the best of luck getting a defender of westmarch, it's such a beautiful shield.
You should be fine to drop some tankiness @ Ezelious,i can understand the want to play a thematic build as i personally do it with a fire build i'm very partial too. But you will probably hit a wall at around t3. i'd suggest making aughilds for bracers + chest and ashearas legs/boots which will give you some addition tankiness if you have the recipes and make it.
This would make it more comfortable for you to ease into strength gems. Also wrathful will give you some big heals using shield bash, so if you find that elites are the problem i'd switch renewal to it, because it's only really useful when you're fighting a big swarm of stuff.
Also really pleased at how this thread is going and how well it was received :). Thanks for taking the time to help each other out and bounce ideas around!
Ring - Since your using quite a few different sets a royal ring of grandeur would be amazing for you build, 3 set Aughilds and Ashearas will help you be tanky enough to drop your guardian set.
Since the ring is quite hard to get i'd say your easiest upgrade that would make a huge impact is bracers. switching from guardians to Ashearas will net you a whopping 15% damage to elite and 15% reduced damage + you're missing 15-20% elemental damage there. That would be an easy change that would give you a huge increase to damage.
Neck is another focus, yours is nice for 3 stats but finding one with av damage or 15% lightning in addition to those stats can really help. I myself have had pretty bad luck with necks so i can understand how hard it can be to find one even better then the one you are currently using.
Switching from hold your ground to finery will also give a nice boost on damage if your finding it easy to survive.
There has been quite a large influx recently of crusaders asking for help with builds, items and critiquing their play styles so any new posts on the topic will be automatically merged here. easier to have all the gear related questions in one thread to reference back to.

Tbh i'd reroll the fire damage to high crit damage. it's still a decent upgrade with higher str, crit and average damage over as.

Perfect stats as soon as you get crit :).
