Yeah, Prison of Ice was really good too. It was basically the prelude to Betrayal at Harrogath. So it all kind of feels like one really long quest anyway.
And if you a barbarian I think it's a bit more personal based on the story, this guy is possibly from the same village as you. But since he is a mage, and your a barbarian, you should be a little suspicious of him anyways for practicing outsider magic. Not too sure why this guy is a necromancer, should be a druid at the most. But Necromancer is cool so whatever.
I've been told by other people not to assume he's a Necromancer just because he can explode corpses. But I had created a bit of fan lore for Nihlathak and pretend that he actually captured a Necromancer once and tortured him for his secrets before killing him.
But yes, as a Barbarian it would be a lot more personal considering that Nihlathak was one of your Elders and he betrayed all of your other Elders.
My all time favorite. It was more personal than any of the other quests. Nihlathak's lair kicked ass. It was all dank with really cool graffiti on the walls. And the last level of his lair looks really great with all those strange shrines and things on fire. Then his death was quite chilling how the ground opens up and swallows his soul. And even the way he mocks as you're trying to kill him.
See, what's so great about it is you're always hunting demons or undead, but in this quest, you're just killing another human who is on the verge of great power. And you have to plow your way through so much just to kill him which makes everything all the more rewarding.
