It's a bit weird that when you have only 1 out of 5 runes needed, the runeword still shows under "runewords I can almost make". I think it would be better if it showed only the runewords for which you are missing only 1 rune, or have >= 50% of the runes.
I've noticed a trend, maybe it helps you find out where the error is:
-Click select all (in any category)
-Deselect any combination that includes the first option
-Click deselect all
This actually selects all, and the button still reads "deselect all"
-Click select all (in any category)
-Deselect any combination that doesn't includes the first option -Click deselct all
This works as intended
I've no idea how you coded it, but the problem may be there
Oh, you made that last one Mag? That's awesome. I'll be using that one then.
Just a heads up. If you click the "select all" button, and then deselect them one by one, the button still reads "deselect all" but actually selects them. If you didn't get that, try it out yourself. It shouldn't be hard to fix.
Phrozen, yeah, I had noticed the runeword page before. It's what I've been using so far. In fact, I was gonna mention it in the OP, but it seems I forgot.
Of course you can restructure the page by number of sockets, but what if you wanted to know what runewords you can do with the runes you already have? Or every runeword there is for a sword, no matter the number of sockets? That would take a hell lot of pages.
Besides, the program is fairly simple. I know how to do it on Access, so it can't be that hard. And it's really useful.
It's just a suggestion, and it seems Oath is already up to it. It's not like I NEED it or anything, I just think it would be a nice addition to the site. I mean, we have a whole Tools tab with only 1 tool.
The program in my mind has 3... I think the word is "input"s. Item type / Number of sockets / Runes available. You can specify 1, 2 or all 3 things.
EDIT: This was the thread that got me thinking: Choppin' in SP
I think this is a great idea to implement on the site. I play SP and I don't know any runeword by heart, so every time I find a good socketed item, I have to go through all the runewords, write down the ones that work with my X item with Y sockets, and then check if I have those runes. It's quite a tedious process, so I always end up leaving the socketed items on the floor. I think I've only done one 1 legit runeword ever (besides the Ral-Ort-Tal shield, from the Act V quest).
So, thinking about how to solve that, I came up with this idea. I'm no programmer, so someone would have to do it, but from the looks of it it's pretty simple. It would be a tool in which you select which item you have found, and how many sockets it has, and it gives you all the runewords you can make with that item. Or the other way round, you select how many of which runes you have, and it tells you which item you need to make runewords with them, so you are on the look-out for those items. Or better yet, you select both the your item and your runes, and it gives you the runeword you can actually do.
I think it's a really useful tool, so if anyone feels up to the task of programming it, I'd be very grateful.
