Why cannot it just be as easy like in diablo there is stand "damage 2000-2400" instead och %, it so annoying that you have to calculate every skill to have much damage is does in the end.
Its because ''+x% to dmg'' have a geometric progression with equipament.
This way gear become more important.
Too bad that the old icons are not saved, they were the perfect, maybe with little corrections.
I agree. The old stone were the best.
Some said they changed because the interface will now shows all the binded skills, so keep 6 grey-white icons side by side would be strange.
But they could just apply color to the old icons, like make the stone looking icon a bit orange in fire spells skills, golen in battlecry/auras, etc...
I Agree with Dimebog (seems to happen a lot). It looks like you could actually choose one tree and make a good character. Much better than wasting points in other trees trying to get a necessary skill. I'd like to see how different these characters would play though.
As for the sockets. Are only some of the skills going to have sockets? It seems to make sense I guess. Some skills would be hard to rationally enhance, like natural resistances.
Only active skills have rune I guess...
And i hope they creat some nice active stuff to the battlemaster =/ Only hammer and charge in a whole tree sounds limited as the other barbarian trees have much more active skills.
well i suppose if you dont like the tree dont play the tree problem solved, i dont know why people are complaining about an aspect of a game if you dont like the aspect dont use the aspect but dont complain that it dissadvantages you. simple really
Why should I not say battlemaster tree suck if I really think that it suck ?
The forums are not made only for tell what you like, but also to tell what you don't.
And things are not that simple for me. I've played diablo for long and I've reached lvl90+ with all characters. I've tryed to use every single skill in many diferent builds. And i will do it again in D3.
Thats why for me every single skill in the game must be good for me or else i complain.
I don't see how that guy says the Battlemaster tree is crap. From what I see, there's plenty of really nice passive and active buffs for increasing damage, a few decent attack skills, furious charge, which seems like an okay aoe, though probably not as effective as whirlwind. Personally the Battlemaster tree intrigues me the most; critical hits, pretty strong defence, resistances, blocks, and an instant heal which can prevent you from dying... with a given build, seems it'd be pretty hard for a Battlemaster to die.
But ofcourse, I'm sure a pure build of just one tree won't be as effective as making use of a few skills in each tree.
I said thats is crap not because it's weak, because is totally out of creativity. I"m not talking about something been good or bad (wich for the moment it doens't matter because things will chnage alot in the nerf/buff cycle) i'm talking about it been cool or not (wich really matter for me right now).
I don't wanna play a tree were the only cool attack is furious charge -_-'
Also theres is a lack of individuality of each tree. But this kind of thing can only bee really tested when we play the game /o/
Well you get that one stomp to stun, and seismic slam shoots out a line of destruction. For the Juggernaut tree.
Berserker tree has leap attack, threatening shout, and whirlwind.
Battlemaster tree you get, furious charge and natural resistance.
So casters shouldn't be too much of a problem.
.
I"m not talking about killing caster would be a problem. I"m talking about that it's going to be fun have a silence skill in the battlemaster, wich is a more a ''counter'' skill once it only helps against casters. It's MUCH more fun have to use silence against skelly mages and stum against other things then the same thing every time.
Man the barbarian should have a shout that cause silence in the enemy o.o'
Just think.. You enter a room fille with those skeleton mages focus firing on you. You just shout and they cannot cast anymore, so they start to runaway confused as you kill then one by one =D
I think the juggernaut tree needs more active skills. C'mon all those things been passive is to boring u.u
i really dont like the way the skills are set up. i like the way they show it on the wizard on i think its shacknews.com or something. also i noticed that bash and cleave seem to be similer to each other and i dont understand why you would have both of them.
I think bash have a more powerfull DPS but hit only one target, but the cleave can attack many targets at once but ihave a long cooldown.
You're not stricken to only using the battlemaster tree you know, you can get cleave or stun from the others. It has some good skills in itself.
Yea, but i can hardly imagine someone will go deep in Battlemaster. For me it will be like a secondary tree.. but some ppl liked it, so i think it's just a totally personal opnion.
Still i think the barbarian need more skills... Some old skills were scattered (Grim Ward, Almost all Battle Crys, Throwing Wepon Skill, Consentration/Berserker) but almost nothing new was created to fill that void - just a bunt of +def and +absorbtion crap.
This is one of the funniest posts I have read in a long, long time on a message board.
That is exactly what they are doing with those skill trees... You just read the skill trees, said you didn't like them and then recommended them to do nothing to change them and then you would like them.
Thats not true õ_õ
The Battlemaster is a totally undifined tree. It just tons and tons of skills for pump up defense with charge and stum... theres to few offensive abilities, just tons of buff skills, different from the jug and the berserker.
The juggernaut should have a skill that the you passes like 1.0~1.5 charging power then unleash the most powerfull physical attack possible. But you loose defense and this attack can be interrupted. This kind of abilitie is just somewhat a remake of the old Berserk skill, but it could make a great combo within a stum based tree.
Also i think the Battlemaster should have tricks like active block, a counter attack, silencing, armor ignoring attacks - this kind of skills that remind us of a veteran warrior, not a wow tank =(
I 've read all those skills and i must i hated it =/
I see no point in those 3 barbarian trees. It seens so similar one to another.. i didn't like that.
And the Battlemaster tree, wtf is that ? That thing have almost none attack skills. The most pointless and repetitive thing i 've see in D3 development =(
I would suggest then to make those 3 more different, having a unic porpuse each of then. Like:
Berserker - Based at fast attacking and high movementation. The beserker barbarian is like a vicious warrior, that moves from one side to another and slaugther a whole army one by one with light speed attacks.
Juggernaut - This tree is more based at stunning enemys (so Hammer should be here i guess) and deliver slow, but devastating blows. The Juggernau expecialised barbarian are based at killing multiple enemys with a few attacks and use stum for defense, but have no movementation skills.
Battlemaster - This should be the most strategical barbarian, based at raise their own defense and then counter attack enemys specificl weakpoints, like a skill that ignore defense or a skill that silences the casters. It would be very cool.
Thats just a stupid suggestion from a random person =3 I'm no game designer. Still the actual barbarian tree suck compered to the wiz's one. Gladly those things will change alot during the development.

Two theories:
1) The X value may change with things like your level or the passive skills.
2) They don't decided the value yet.
Man i need see the WD's skills =(
