I honestly have no idea. I started playing civilization 2 and picked up the series from there. I don't think I have even seen a screen shot from civ 1.
No, I learned it in my physics class last year. I'm planning on going into engineering so I tried to learn everything that class had to offer, and I guess I at least learned something.
