Adulphozael took great pleasure in watching the tortured paladin confess his town's whereabouts. As the doors to the cavern opened, light shone through the opening, and Adulphozael was revealed a familiar sight.
"Sanctuary. 800 years. Nearly 800 years I have been stolen of this sight. It disgusts me."
"Now, demons, we march upon Thurzen." Damarus said, as he entered the light of day. "This will all be ours in time," he said. "Humph." Adulphozael casually exited the cavern, into the world he so despised.
"One must think... humans are so innocent, yet they're not. In fields like this, one could almost forget that Baal's army stormed on Mount Arreat only years ago..."
Adulphozael took a liking to the way this one thought.

Adulphozael rose upwards to a standing position, taking a liking to the terrified screams of mortals all around him, his senses have come back to him. He noticed his leader, Damarus, had lost his energy and was shouting. "SOMEBODY BRING THAT ONE DOWN!"
Adulphozael glanced towards the cavern doors to witness a holy knight, clad in shining armor, making his way toward his comrades. A Paladin.. he thought. Adulphozael's gauntlet was suddenly clenched with the grip of his great Zweihander. He knew he could not get any closer to the knight, lest his demonic essence slowly be drained. He motioned for a forward step and raised the sword above his head, and let it fly directly at the Paladin as he stepped down. The sword made it within 10 feet of the holy knight and dematerialized, as if it was nothing, and rematerialized in his hand.
"Curses!" He said aloud. "That knight needs to be destroyed!"
Several other mortal men are now attempting to charge Adulphozael. Hahaha.. a useless effort, he thought. Adulphozael began charging right at them in retaliation, and impaled three of the men with his swords, one on his left and two on his right. "Who wants more!?" He yelled while waving his swords, the rag-doll bodies of the men sliding off the swords like meat off of a shish-kabob.

Adulphozael stood quietly, listening to the ramblings of his new found 'comrades,' and got a kick out of the demon Basoriel disciplining the one called Zethrael. He, himself, wondered why this Damarus had been given leadership over them. He decided not to think about it anymore, he had always been a lone wolf sort, even in his pre-hellspawn days. Being a part of a team would be a nice change of pace.
"I pledge my loyalty to you, great Damarus. Our enemies will not see us coming, I won't let them."
"If at all possible, capture any angels you find, as they can be used in some... particularly nasty summoning rituals, and as you see from your comrade, can turn on their masters within several decades of demonic taint."
"Aye, I, myself, witnessed the twisted power of the Three being unleashed on an Archangel by the name of ... Izual, he was named. Unimaginable things were done to him. I believe he now roams the plains of hell in the form of a great beast spawned from the abyss... at least he did."

Adulphozael slowly and steadily made his way through the ranks of a great gathering of lesser demons, waiting for the call of their master. Adulphozael had reason to believe this master of theirs had been the one who banished his soul into the abyss, 831 years ago.
The demon had made camp for himself within a tent bearing a large, dark symbol Adulphozael could not identify. He took a peak inside and carefully stepped inside, there stood the leader, overlooking the scrolls he had laid out on the stone table.
"You..."
"What!? Who's there? Show yourself!" "I am Adulphozael, maybe you've heard of me." He said in a dark and brooding tone of voice.
"Adulphozael?! I.. I have never heard such a name in all my life!" "Lies! How dare you lie to the face of your demise!"
A seemingly massive suit of armor appeared in front of the demon, bearing a short sword pointing directly at the unprotected throat of the demon commander. The demon could do nothing but gaze in silent fear into the burning red eyes of the assassin.
"No... no... not you. I am but a simple captain, but I know what you seek." Adulphozael said nothing. The captain cleared his throat. "However, I do not know the location of the one you seek, nobody does. Not anymore. Therefore, you should have no need to harm me in an-"
Before the wretched demon could say more, his gullet was instantly slit open, and his killer vanished. The demon fell forward, gargling, into a pool of his own blood.
Several minutes later, while returning to his solitary lair, Adulphozael began to feel a sensation, similar to one he feels when he disappears. "What is this?!" He said in great confusion. He appeared in a massive hall, standing on a curious circle lined with strange runes and various symbols. It occurred to him he had been summoned, for unknown reasons. The great demon Namphiel stood before him, looking down on him.
"What is thy bidding, my lord, Namphiel..."
