Name: Gudbrand
Age: 24
Weight: 163 lbs
Height: 5' 10"
Hair: Light brown, lanky
Eyes: Dark brown
Gender: Male
Bio:
[spoil]Gudbrand was deemed a farmer boy at birth. His father was always working the mines and his mother stayed at home and took after him and his sister, Alyah. Life around the farm was boring; It was always clean this, pick that, tend to this... but it wouldn't stay that way for long. One day, while father was at work, a cloaked stranger appeared on the farthest side of their farm. As he walked towards the house, mother hurried the children inside. They met in the middle of the field and exchanged words. Words became a heated argument, and suddenly, the stranger put his hand on the mother's face. A burst of brilliant red light left his fingertips and the mother dropped to the ground
Gudbrand sat under the windowsill, panicked. Alyah, the eldest, ran to the closet and grabbed her father's scythe. She look at him with dire eyes...
"No... you can't mean."
Alyah nodded her head, saying that if they didn't kill the stranger, then their death was imminent. Gudbrand took the scythe wearily and tears ran from his eyes. He was only fifteen, how could he take down that man...
He gathered his courage and headed out the door. The stranger's gaunt face turned towards him, red eyes burned holes in his memory. Gudbrand, frantic, charged towards the stranger, but the stranger was too fast and darted towards the door. Gudbrand raced after him and the two met inside. He swung the scythe and missed. The stranger ran into the kitchen and came back into the room. He looked at Gubrand...
"Where... is your father?"
The last word slid off his tongue, cold as ice. Gudbrand's eyes filled with fear.
"My father isn't here! WHAT DO YOU WANT?!"
And with that, the stranger vanished. Gudbrand ran outside to see if his mother was still alive. He hovered over her, and when she finally stirred, the fear left his eyes. His mother, however, looked at him with a dire stare. His father never came home that day.
She never did explain to him what conversation took place that day, but for ten years, his mother would always look at the road before she went to bed.
Gudbrand left when he was twenty-three for a small village in the nearby mountains. For a year, he worked as a steward at an shabby inn. Before too long, he began seeing cloaked figures roaming the halls. Maybe it was for real, but then again, you can never be too sure about your own sanity.[/spoil]
Strengths: Fifteen years of farm work have turned Gudbrand into an able warrior
Weaknesses: A lack of comprehension makes Gudbrand irrational in battle
Powers: Superior coordination
Armor: After two months of working at the inn, Gudbrand had enough money for a leather cuirass and some gauntlets
Weapons: His father's scythe and an iron dagger he keeps for protection
Reason for joining cause:
Weeks before his twenty-fourth birthday, news spread of demons roaming the countryside. The news became more and more dire until finally, Gudbrand made his way to his former home to warn his remaining family. He would discover a house engulfed in flames and his mother and sister dead in the middle of the field. He cursed the heavens that day and swore to extinguish all demons from the world.

I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence
Maleficia, a kingdom of thousands, cowers in fear under the decrepit hand of Saint Bodin. Never before has the kingdom experienced such hardships. Mothers resorting to prostitution and working in the royal harem, sons and fathers working in coal mines for bread money, and mere babes going to bed without a comforting hand or a warm bed. Saint Bodin controls the minds of every aristocrat, every clergyman, and every banker in Maleficia, and within a days notice, could bring the kingdom to it's knees. Demons run free throughout the countryside, raping and killing as their onslaught reaches full fruition.
This is where you come in, brave adventurer (puny human). You must help stop this infernal oppression, breaking free from the warmth of your homes and fighting for the greater good.
Godspeed,
Azriel and Party_Foul
