Hope you can get some nice juicy rumors about HOMM VI Equinox and post them here!
Don't expect any until they are done with that stupid Allods Online game... They recently upgraded the forums 2-3 times, so now we are all on new areas with 0 post count, and everyone is way too much into Allods Online to think about Heroes...
I'm just hanging for HOMM VI now that Nival are starting to get their act together, was hoping it would be announced at the Ubisoft expo last week but no joy.
I was lurking at the Nival Russian forum, and the way I see it, they are totally planning it but don't feel like spreading it to the Western world yet... but most Russians are certain that Heroes VI is coming somewhere after Allods Online is done.

but i didn't get the Hammer expanstion i jsut got tribes,
Well, really, Tribes is pretty much the entire game, it just doesn't have the original and dwarfen campaigns, but apart from that it has all races and whatever.

Campain in the first Heroes V and with tribes i liked the cinemaxs and how the campains flowed
I liked the necromancer campaign in Tribes more. The original campaign was a bit slow, and it had really disbalanced difficulties here and there.
I love the series, and I still sometimes even visit HoMM I (yes, I am that retro). Me and my mom played this game for ages, especially HoMM III.
HoMM V is something I have been following for a very long time, I even played the alpha of it. I bought HoMM V, including the expansions, and, got to say, it's total crap without the expansions due to bad balancing and some other issues. I was pretty happy with how they did it, surprisingly. The graphics don't kill my computer and look a lot nicer than I ever expected. I had a lot of fun figuring out all those abilities they put in, and I love the alternative upgrades. What annoys me about HoMM V is the following:
- bad LAN support and overall bad multiplayer support. Tried to play LAN on Hamachi and it kept crashing. Ports are open, connection is fast, version is the same, I don't know what was it but me and my friend were never able to play LAN;
- the AI is very slow. In a TB game like this, it gets pretty annoying to sit there and wait for the AI to decide on something. HoMM III AI was much faster. Warlords IV had this same problem;
- loading times during different sessions, e.g., the castle, the battles, etc. This is due to the 3D;
- hex grid is better than square grid >>;
- really bad job with the custom maps, e.g., they hardly made any, and half of them are more campaign maps. Good thing that the fans make their own maps, pretty high quality, too. Considering I am not a big fan of the campaign, I want my custom maps;
- the music is pretty bad. Written by the same guys, but I replaced half the tracks with music of my own choice >>_<<.

I prefer lighter worlds sometimes.
I played Disciples II, wasn't my cup of tea.
