And do you really think you need to practically hover right over your enemy to shoot a laser at them? I can understand why the mutalisks need to be closer, but battlecruisers and wraiths and carriers and stuff shouldn't need to be up close and personal - realistically speaking. Afterall, this is just a game I suppose
I've always thought that was silly, too. You'd think with a battlecruiser sitting over your base, you'd be able to see farther than 20 feet around your base lol
Yeah, I use it occasionally to test out things. But when it comes to the actual game test, I leave the fog of war on. I used it on your map a couple times to watch the enemy.
I played it Siaynoq. I had a few bad starts but once I got started it turned out to be unpredictably fun. It was fun trying to guess where the enemy would come from.
Well, I'm attaching a zip file with all my maps (their newest versions) as well as three of my newest maps. I haven't tested a couple of them very well, so that's where I need your help and input.
Chokepoint1.2
- My first map, and probably the second poorest of my creations. Fun to test as free-for-all against the computer. Probably not worthy for true multiplayer gameplay.
Corpseyard1.1
- My second map, and I fixed the starting resource locations so that you and the other teams have a fighting chance if they get swept right away from the start. I enjoyed this map. Probably would be a sweet 2v2 map.
Reign Forest
- As Sessler requested, I made a jungle map. I tested it once, and it was very long. Very enjoyable 2 1/2 hours, though. I'm still testing this one to see if anything needs changes. Only thing that might need to be changed is resources - they don't last long enough to outlast the entire game.
Into The Fray
- I consider this map to be my worst creation. Very simplistic and easy. I keep testing it, but I can't outlast the initial attack from my opposition. I did once escape my original base in a dropship to attempt to rebuild my armies from the nearby floating resource platform, but I was destroyed while trying to rebuild. I expect negative feedback from this one.
Green Horizon
- I just created this map, but I haven't had time to test it yet. It looks promising and I intended it to be a 2v2 map. We'll see how it matches up to my previous maps.
I just played my first StarCraft on battle.net in over three years. 1-0, AcidReign. Watch out Korean superiors, here I come
