lol, I have wanted to answer the question as if its an obvious answer for SO LONG.
Thats why its so funny and/or pointless, because its not an obvious answer at all.
I was thinking about backing myself up with some sort of "Angiris Council exists" theory, but then I decided against it, because it would detract from my original meaning.
I actually thought Umpa's last post was acceptable. Yeah, we know his figures were obviously exaggerated, there's no need to point that out. And him calling atheists arrogant was just being defensive. It was hardly insulting compared to how much anti-Christian stuff in this thread that he must have been insulted by.
While religious folk appear to be shoving their religion down everyone's throats all the time, the nonreligious can actually be just as bad with their 'scientific' retaliation. I mean, most people don't even fully understand the science behind it, they just trust that those scientists are right in their research. And Imagine how you would feel if something you believed in for thousands of years suddenly gets 'disproved' by scientists. We are only humans after all, with a human way of thinking that cannot easily be changed.
Tread carefully when it comes to the fate of our souls, for they are more important than any earthbound relation.
Its a little tree-minion of mine. I made my own personal class - a combination of the Druid and the Necromancer, and this tree minion guy is the tree version of a raised skeleton lol.
If I lived in Sanctuary, this skill is what I was aim to achieve. I call my 'class' the Morsarbor, meaning "Death Tree". I came up with it because I can't choose between Necro and Druid lol, I love them both.
with all this talk over religions it made me think about how many religions like to promote peace but religion has caused more wars than anything else
More and more people are realising this fact.
Yes, it is considered a 'fact', it is one of the few facts we can count on. So many wars have been fought over differing religions, all claiming to be the one 'true' religion. Whether they were righteous or not is another matter.
This thread is a great example of it. If people weren't so fanatical or close-minded or delusional, they would leave each other alone and let them believe whatever they want to believe. Where exactly does it state that Heaven needs a minimum amount of participants in order for it to exist? What does it matter if the whole world is Christian or not? You think you are doing them a favour by murdering their families so they will submit to your rules and be granted a Heavenly afterlife? How the Hell does that make any sense?
If you (anyone in general) wants to believe in something, then thats fine, you do what you think is right. But don't go around telling everyone "this is truth" when its completely based on opinion. The only thing that can accomplish is angering anyone who hears it. There is no chance anyone will hear it and think "oh, okay, well if you say its true then I believe you" - unless they are innocently young or stupid, or both.
I don't see why I (Christian) can't be wrong and the Muslims right...Or why we could both be half right, and have some of the story. Or Christians could be the only ones right. Or we could all be right on the things we agree with (that there is a god etc.). Or atheists could be right. So many possibilities and I hate restricting my beliefs to one thing.
There isn't really guidelines for a REAL Christian in terms of beliefs, besides following the teachings of Jesus.
Thank God, someone with reason!
Unfortunately reasonable people are rare. Most people are the kind that think their belief is the absolute 'truth' even though its purely based on belief. And then they try and justify their belief with 'facts' but it doesn't work because the facts aren't based on anything factual so they end up just coming out as fanatical delusionists.
first off get ur head out of your ass... its not magical... and as we know elephants have no ability to materialize so i dont know where u decided to bring that from... basically what im saying is that this universe is fuckin huge and we as humans have not even found the majority of animal and plant species on this earth, not even masters of our own damn planet?... i bet ur one of those ppl too.. i believe in heaven and hell but no theres no way that life outside our planet exists... all i said in the first place was ther have been rods in photographs since the first cameras were taking pictures... never actuallly wanted to argue about a creature that we dont know if it does or doesnt exist... if the universe can go on forever and not have an end... y cant a creature such as these rods exist?
You remind me of the people who lived thousands of years ago. They couldn't explain the world around them, so they just assumed it was the work of some sort of God.
In other words, its more logical to think of the more likely reasons first, then think of the more unlikely ones after. Bringing in the 'other dimensions' theory of those rods (or the God theory) is jumping to the more unlikely conclusion first, which is illogical. Try thinking a little more earth-orientated first, hmm? Since those times we now have much more logical explanations for those 'acts of God'. But that doesn't mean that angels/gods don't exist, it just means that they might have a lesser part to play than we first thought.
thats my point and thats the end of this conversation because there is no point to it... zZzZzZzZzZzZz
Seriously, if there is no point to the conversation, then stop having it! and stop having it in the fucking angels thread when you don't even believe in angels! I wouldn't mind it if you had angels on your mind while talking about rods, but you don't. Times like these I wish I was a mod.
im not assuming the 4th dimension exists because it does... its beyond that dimension that we arent sure about... and we dont know anything ab out the physical nature of these creatures except for the fact that they have been appearing in photographs since we have been able to take photographs and im goin to assume that these creatures can pass between the third and foruth dimensions until its proven otherwise just like ur not gonna believe that they can pass from dimension to dimension until its proven they can...
...and that is why it doesn't make sense.
anyway, this whole 'dimension' thing is getting confusing for everyone because there are different definitions and usages of the word 'dimension'.
1. x-axis, y-axis, z-axis, and time.
2. we live in the '3rd dimension'
3. spiritual dimension?
okay, so when you say 'fourth' dimension, it can mean 'time' (based on 1), but based on 2 it means another dimension other than our own. like a whole other universe kind of thing.
obviously time exists, but things can't just move in and out of time. how does that make sense? sure, you could be saying that the rods travel to the past or future, but that still means that they would have to leave a corpse on earth somewhere.
however, if you're talking about number 2, then you aren't talking about time. if time was included in 2, then we wouldn't be "living in the 3rd dimension", we would be living in the fourth dimension, because time is part of our universe too, just like the x y and z axes.
the fourth dimension is theoretical, noone has actually been there. just like noone has been to the second dimension (but, yes, we know that exists, because our dimension wouldn't exist without it). and if you start saying that there are creatures that can move in and out of the 2nd and 3rd dimensions, then I definitely wouldn't believe you. its just not compatible.
oh yeah, and as for the 'spiritual dimension', well, I kind of made that up then, but it makes sense. magistrate was talking about this dimension.
If were are to assume that there are angels, then we have to assume we, too, have spirituality. That is the level, then, that a "spirit" would communicate on.
yes, I should have said 'spacial dimension', but gamma seems to have been talking about spacial dimension too, because time just doesn't make sense in this case.
so guys, say which dimension you're talking about whenever you use the word 'dimension'.
and please, LEAVE OUT SCIENCE UNLESS IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH ANGELS. i'm so sick of talking about it.
also, with that video, well, what is it of exactly? it looks tampered with. and why is the little bug in perfect focus? while the surroundings aren't? what the hell kind of a camera man is that?
That should have been fifth dimension Astrumentis, the fourth dimension definatly exists, if it wouldn't nothing would ever happen and everything would be a complete standstill, even better, nothing would exist to begin with.
thats if you mean that the 'fourth dimension' is time. but it doesn't always mean time. there are a few variations of it. the sort that he was talking about doesn't make sense if he's talking about time: "creatures that slip in and out of time" lol, wtf.
eh, I was going off this page, who refer it the other way around:
This page attempts to explain the properties of a hypothetical universe with a spatial fourth dimension. While people generally call time the 4th dimension in the universe we live in, time will be the 5th dimension in my hypothetical universe.

^^^ Thats what I originally intended to say lol. Damnit, I can't believe I got my phrase wrong. The phrase I wanted to say for so long.
lol, I'll change it back...hmm.. next week. I was just in the mood for succubus atm.

lol, I posted that before you edited your post. When I said 'this is truth' I was referring to first guy who said it.
hah, I lol'd at your "I am not a Christian. This is truth" statement. haha.

then stop talking about freaking aliens!!!!
it gets confusing when people don't explain what they mean exactly, because there are so many variations.
^^^ basically a summary of that massive post lol
edit; even I couldn't be bothered reading my post again. farr too long. but who knows, maybe someone will.
