I use the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate and absolutely love it. LEDs and all, it's by far the best keyboard i've owned. Feels great, has plenty of customizability, is mechanical, and is quite shiny.
Yeah, i was gonna get the steelseries mechanical keyboards but TBH their design looked a bit bland and uninspired. I like stuff around my computer area to look cool and be functional, so the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate was a splendid choice. I give it 5 stars (out of 5)
I have a couple of questions on how the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate works for everyone who has one.
1)I know that you can assign macros to the "m" keys and you can have 10 or so profiles. Can you quickly switch between between profiles while in the middle of a game. If not, how do you choose a profile? Im not sure if 5 m keys would be enough.
2)Are the profiles stored on the actual keyboard or on the PC? After setting the keyboard on one PC, if I went to another PC, would my personal settings need to be recreated?
Thanks everyone for the info you've been giving me.
I honestly never use the macro keys, so i couldn't tell you.
I vote for the das mind you I tried black and blue keys and could not stand it. The blackwidow blue keys are way to loud it would drive my poor wife completely mad and there are reports of poor quality control.
Brown is the best of both worlds in my opinion. I can't stand mush keyboards but if you really wanted one I suppose the G15 might be ok.
So get:
Das keyboard
leopold keyboards
Filco keyboards
Steelseries
There's a button to turn the LEDs off...
I am assuming you are joking lol
Its the loud click of the keys
My brown is dead silent with a tactile feed back on each key
