I hope Blizzard has the foresight to listen, but then continue down the path that is best for the game (and not for self-appointed committee members).
Because, with the amount of poo-flinging and tantrums from the vocal minority does not make for a better game.
Yes, I said vocal minority.
The game, when released, will become "Game of the Year" with over 1 million units sold. A petition is not going to stop it from achieving this milestone- nor will you not buy it when it is released.
I understand your heart is in the right place, but put down the lit torches and be patient. Blizzard is not going to fail us- all their products go through the progression. Diablo 3 will be no different.
One last thing, be grateful for what is coming- and let your voice be heard for what you also like about the game. I mainly hear the negativity- and it sounds trite & screechy.
Your mileage may vary...
diablo 3 will probably go over 1M copies, but 75% of these fans have never participated a community. i have about 10 friends that are fans to the point of willing spend alot of money on one copy (its really expensive here in brazil about 100 bucks.........) but all of them have no ideia about all these discussion forums, and never heard about the petition
we Are the hardcore fanbase, and they can take the petition into consideration, though the fact you can sign in several times may ruin it
This could hurt or help the game. If they have their own direction and then decide due to fans wanting a change, it could delay the game even longer. If they do decide to make some subtle changes that would be cool, but the problem is we are looking at a 20 minute gameplay trailer and making judgements on that, what if the rest of the game is different? what if the setting gets darker and more brooding as the game moves along. I think it is way to quick to pass judgement on the art style this early. Just my opinion.
the problem is, its not just the lightining
to my view, the textures are soft to a level that i would rather call them paint work
the huge size of the soulder pads wont change over the course of the game, they tend to actually get bigger lol
to me those open dungeons, that look like rooftops like someonelse said, just dont seem right, i liked the contrast between teh open surface areas and the clastrophobic dungeons
imo, those green and blue lights on teh dungeon are the second best (after shoulder pads bigger than teh head) example of heavy cartoonish feel
look i have worked with 3d engines b4 (modding). from the looks of it its manly lighting issues and teh havoc engine can adjust that in seconds. but the models and stuff ... that will set us back :/
true, but i think they would also have to rework alot on the textures, they look waaaay to Softy
when i look the those stone ruins, i cant help but think "how cute......"
no, 100 reais, brazils money
it Is expensive sadly
i though bucks could mena just.....money
