I feel like Diablo 3 maybe too similar to WoW. Evidence for this happenning is the new tool bar at the bottom of the screen. Not that that'd be a bad thing, I just feel that it might dilute the Diablo we've come to know.
But as far as PvP goes: one thing I've always wanted to see is a visible difference between hardened veterans and fresh newbies. I've thought it would be cool for more veteran characters to maybe bare scars and age; to have their weapons chipped and battle-tried. Not weaker, just more aged, more experienced and more intimidating. Also, a feature I've only seen in the Sims and Fable, the ability to workout and be buff. Like WoW and the earlier Diablos, everyone is always well-toned and buff. But what if you started off neutral? If you chose to enjoy hanging in pubs and grow fat as opposed to remaining in top physical condition? I dunno, I just thought that may be an interesting addition, though I am sure Blizzard will make it cool anyhow!
